My source said I can use it at special trees but how or where does that happen and will it get consumed?

In Black version, there are no Special trees to attract Pokemon with. Instead, you can use the honey and it will attract Wild Pokemon, in a manner similar to the move Sweet Scent.

When you see the trees, you can spread honey on them. Then, after waiting, a Pokemon will appear to eat the honey.
