Is there a special place where shiny pokemon appear?

I'm wondering because it would be cool if there is.

Nope, although using the Pokeradar can make it easier to find shinies. However, in HG/SS, there is a Shiny Gyarados, but nobody cares to much about that shiny.

9 seconds on that one.
You will find shinies only if ka wills it (for those of you who read King.)
Stephen king is awesome. It's the ultimate response.
I'm on the fifth book (reading it now) in the Dark Tower series (have you read it.) He is my favorite author, my favorite of his books is "IT."

No. Other than the shiny Gyrados, shinies can appear anywhere. There's no specific place.

You answered while I edited my answer to include Red Gyrados (so hard to remember how to spell).
