Meta Battle Subway PokeBase - Pokemon Q&A

What exactly does Huge Power raise?

8 votes

According to many sites, Huge Power states that the ability "doubles the Pokemon's Attack stat." Then the in-depth description is usually, "The power of this Pokemon's Physical attacks is doubled."

I'm getting mixed signals, so does this refer to a physical move's Base Power, or the Attack Stat of the Pokemon?

It's physical attack STAT is doubled. So if my Azumarill has an attack of say 100, it's doubled to 200.

Not the physical move power?
No. The attack stat itself.

The ability doubles the attack stat of the pokemon.

However, this does have the same effect as doubling all physical attacks because the attack stat only affects physical moves, not special moves.
