Question

I was in the ruins area in White 2 and I saw a Sigilyph, the game said "a Sigilyph appeared?" and some sparkles came out. I don't think it was shiny. I tried to catch it, but I killed it.
What does this mean?

You have almost certainly encountered on of N's Pokemon.

you WHAT??? you KO'd N's Pokemon? I've only found ONE, and i made sure not to KO it. Rule of thumb with sparkly Pokemon: if it sparkles, it's rare! NEXT time, use an Ultra Ball to catch it, and a Low-Level Pokemon to weaken it.
