I think it would be a great Idea to add a feature to your profile letting you change your own name.We know that we can't change our name constantly so how about giving us an exact time period?Just an example,So say that we could not change our name 2-4 months after being changed. So how about after the 2-4 months have past there could maybe be a place on our account letting you change your own name. The same restrictions would apply of course.

Restrictions

-Usernames are limited to 20 characters (including spaces and punctuation).
-Any normal characters are allowed in usernames except for these 4: @ + / (Soft Hyphen here)
-Misleading characters like hidden spaces are not allowed.
&
-Usernames may not contain "Pokemaster" to avoid confusion, nor contain swear words.

Pro's

  • -This would eliminate unneeded comments upon request of name changing.
  • -It would be easier and more simple.
  • -This would be one less job you have to worry about on the site.
  • -You also wouldn't have to comment upon every request saying if its Rejected or Accepted.

Note: There may be some Cons not sure though,Also the would mean no more of the The PokemonDB Name Rater.

Yeah it is technically possible to do this, but it would take a bunch of custom coding which I probably won't get round to for a long while. There are plenty of bigger things to do on the site.

The current solution of me manually editing names is a good compromise at the moment.
