Why does it give you a place to put your website on your profile?

Just wondering. People like Rio have their website there, but not many people have one.

Blob can you stop criticizing?! And why did you down-vote!? And if you think this question is stupid, then realize not everybody can have the common sense to realize it like you. And I was wondering because this is a POKEMON site, and I am curious why that was there. Now let Pokemaster answer, I want what he says.
Lol there is a section for your website to go in your profile, your asking why is it there.
It's clearly so people can post there website...
So you can view whatever they want you to view.
Calm Down no need to rage over nothing.
Blob was not being that critical, he was simply stating his opinion, you do not need to yell at him.
VV PM doesnt like it when we make long tags like that please stop doing it
I do see the confusion though since it says no personal information. if everyone posted their twitter or Facebook info it would be personal right??

Because other users who visit their profile can check it out. You can get more users to join that way.

Because some people have web sites. It's just one of the default fields in the software we use. To be fair most people here don't have a web site so maybe I will remove that field.

People do have twitter, facebook, or tumblr though, so they can link to there.
