HA Unova Starters Released!

I had this posted on the PokéBase, but was told to move it here.

According to , the Unova starters are being released in Japan... with their Hidden Abilities! Long has the competitive community been waiting for Contrary Serperior, and it has arrived. However, the event is Japan-exclusive and I (and hopefully everyone else) want to know if there is an event scheduled for North America, and when it will happen.

Also, since they've been officially released, will Shell Armor Samurott, Reckless Emboar, and Contrary Serperior be "legal" on battle simulators like Showdown?

Pokémon Bank - New Gift
It has been announced that the Johto Starters are to be distributed this year with their Hidden Abilities. From February 27th 2015 to November 30th 2015, if you access Pokémon Bank, you will receive Meganium, Typhlosion and Feraligatr with their Hidden Abilities of Leaf Guard, Flash Fire and Sheer Force respectively. These are distributed through the Pokémon Link feature nto Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire with a limit of 1 of each per Pokémon Bank.
