Okay, this is how it works:
TUTOR:
If you get that backing, then your name will be added to the list of tutors. Editors and experts (and Pokemaster) please comment to give someone your backing. You'll be asked whether or not you'll be tutoring using Wi-Fi or PO (PO is very much preferred) and any preferences you have for who you want to tutor. You are able to choose who you want to tutor. You can only tutor only one person at a time. Teach them about battling and the metagame. Say when you have finished with tutoring them (please make sure they are happy with what you've taught them, that they don't have any more questions/things they want to improve on). When you take someone on as an apprentice, please edit their name under the apprentice section and say who their tutor is. Not an expert/editor/Pokemaster? Comment to say who you are taking on. However, first comment under the answer of the person to see if they'll accept you.
trachy: I use PO. I'm looking for someone with almost no experience in the metagame. However, you must have knowledge of the game, at least in complexity up to EVs. Good by computer standards spelling/grammar would be incredibly nice. I'll be able to teach you almost every day, except when I get grounded for using up all the hot water taking really long showers. XD
Speed freak: I can be a little annoying at times but I am getting better. I have lots of experience and can tutor on movesets, tiers, Evs, Ivs, and pretty much anything except Doubles and Triples. Sometimes my method of teaching can seem a bit dull at first but it will help if you are patient and willing to listen :D oh and one more thing...I LIKE PIE :)
Josh: Sweet potatoes I didn't think I'd be doing this again. I can tutor weather battling at it's best. That's my #1 perk I would say. Although I can also do OU, Ubers, and NU well. I'd like to tutor someone who has decent knowledge and isn't a total... well, retard. Being able to spell would also be nice, for general communication.
Ninja: I can provide tutoring for someone looking at OU, LC, CC / Random Battle, and UU, also counters to some threats, and support towards you team. Also, for those interested, some Challenge Cup. No Wifi so Pokemon Online is where you will find me. Don't be looking for Synergy from me. PO is NinjaStarz7. If you want me, just say so! Oh yeah, no Arrogant personalities. A good sense of grammar would be great.
Currently tutoring Rio
DarkTyphlosion - I can help with general team building tips, predictions, scouting out pokemon to determine the rest of your opponent's team, and I can help people with the basics of the game for newcomers. I generally don't work with tiers, so if you're trying to work within a certain part of a competitive environment, I won't be of much help there. I can only Use pokemon online at the moment, so keep that in mind.
Blobyolo-Sorry I have not been keeping up with this, though that is set to change. Basically I can teach anything you want to know about Ou and Ubers, I also have some decent knowledge in UU. Though i can teach all the team building and that, I want to focus on battling. I may not make incredible teams but I still manage to beat most of the people I battle of how I battle and how I observe and learn the game. Thinking is the key to winning the game, reading the play style, predicting the sets and the obvious switch ins, double switching, basically I can teach all that and more but I'm not going to go on for ages. I'm basically going to focus on improving the skill but if I have to help with a team along the way so be it (or anything else for that matter). I currently live in England so that is usually 5-6 hours before America. I am looking for someone with some knowledge, someone looking to improve and i guess I can run a few people at a time though keep in mind I usually come off my Laptop at 10 pm my time. Grammar and that isn't a problem, as long as I can read what your saying and make sense of it that's fine by me. I would be a hypocrite otherwise.
Pokewatt-Okay well i can help with Teambuilding, Prediction, and all that jazz, I can teach OU, NU, Monotype. I will teach EVs, movesets, and natures, too. I use PO / Showdown. I can battle whenever you see me on chat, if im not building a team, and it would be best if the person I will be tutoring have EST as their timezone so we can be on around the same time.
Ivan Kurama Shaddix: I'm basically gonna play Elementary School Teacher. I can teach basics (Types, EVs, Natures, etc.). I can also teach movesets and team building. So if you are a new user that is at the same time new to Pokemon, I will be glad to help. I use PO (Pokemon Online). Also, I understand English is not everyone's language on this site, but that does not mean you can use Text-Speak. I'm on mostly after 5pm EST. If i do tutor, try to be more active on the site, which means going on Chat where you will find me.
Fizzcube: I wanna get into some of this. I'll probably teach the basics (EVs, Natures, etc.) and stuff that is 'introductory' to the metagame (tiers, prediction, movesets, items, etc.). I will also teach synergy and team-building. I am usually on Showdown, but it is easily negotiable to do PO as well, if Showdown is a problem. I'm also in Chat often, so find me there if you want. I would like to tutor someone who can use a keyboard, without me having to take grammarless messages in the face. A person who has decent knowledge of the game would also be necessary.
XtremeKiller Not sure if this is still running, but I'd like to be a tutor. I have decent knowledge of most metagames, a large knowledge and EXP base of Ubers... plus have been here for ages and sort of get around. I do Showdown often, am on often, and would prefer someone who can spell decently and have some grammar knowledge. As for Pokemon EXP... I would like someone who is new to the world of competitive battlling.
Dr.Flame Ok I think I have enough experience in the metagame to be a tutor :D I'll reach the basic stuff to people who just joined the site, or are not very good at battling and want some help. I can also teach some skills, like predicting, knowing when to switch, etc. Note: I'm pretty good at OU,UU, ok at RU/Ubers, but am kinda rusty at tiers like LC and NU. I don't have WiFi, but PO/PS is good.
SentByRavens - I can teach pokemon basics such as EVs and EV spreads, Natures, and Items. I can also teach OU, but I prefer you to have at least some expereince. I can be on a good portion of the day but I don't do weekends or nights (this might change) so all you people overseas are probably going to make up a large portion of my apprentices :D
I can teach prediction, synergy, movesets, and weather battling. I also have experience in Ubers if you need it, but my main area is OU. I have PO but I ca't be on it too much, I also have access to Showdown and limited WiFi access, although we won't be using WiFi if you are my apprentice.
JirachiCelebiMew
Ok, I'd like to be a Tutor. I have a lot of experience in NU, so that's the only thing I will teach. I don't want a complete moron, so you must know your stuff; EVs and crap. You need decent team building. I'll be more than happy to tutor experienced battlers such as JamesBlob, Kyron or Mew in NU. You must at least have decent spelling. It's OK if you're not a VERY experienced battler, as long as you want to do NU.
APPRENTICES:
Answer this question if you want to be an apprentice. Say anything you want about yourself. You'll be taken by a tutor and tought the metagame. Anybody can be an apprentice. If you have a specific person in mind to tutor you, say so. Also give what times you'll usually be on. TIME ZONES ALSO.
