Pokémon Rate My Team

Ah, OU <3 how I love thee so. I may not be the best OU battler (no ** sherlock) but out of all the tiers it is my best. When the league started up I noobishly figured Leboss would be easier for me to beat then Ben. LOLno. But it introduced me to what is now my favorite sort of team, OU CS. I now have several CS teams all of which I enjoy battling with. This team is by far my favorite and may I humbly state, my best one. It uses some underused sets such as SubPunch Conk and (is it underused?) CM Latias. I don't really remember how the team started or where I wanted to go, but here it is, and I will now be archiving it for use at later dates.

I'mBatman (Gliscor) @ Toxic Orb
enter image description here
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spd
Impish Nature
- Protect
- Substitute
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake

My physical wall and rock setter, makes for great switches and effectively hits Terra hard with SE EQ and resistance to all STAB except Stone Edge which can be stalled out with Protect and Sub. Standard EVs, not much else going on.

Rotty (Rotom-Wash) @ Leftovers
enter image description here
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 28 SAtk / 228 SDef
Calm Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Volt Switch
- Pain Split
- Hydro Pump

Bulky specially defensive Rotom with a few more EVs in SAtk to allow for harder hits. Out of the Rotom-W sets I've tried bulky wash setting is by far my favorite. What else to say about the guy, he just bosses so much. I love Rotty so much, he's just.... the boss :P

SupBro? (Jirachi) @ Leftovers
enter image description here
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 220 HP / 180 Atk / 108 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Fire Punch
- Iron Head
- Thunder Wave
- U-turn

"OMG IHU HAXRACHI!!!"
Alas how we all do... when the opponent is using it xD This is my first team that use Rachi and I must say, it bosshaxes to the stars and beyond. T-Wave is so I can get them annoying ghost types without having to Body Slam, although I do pass up the chance to hit them ground types. Iron Head.... I'll let your thick skull think about that :P, Fire Punch is almost a filler move although it has a nice burn chance with Serene Grace and hits Ferro hard. U-Turn is just for bossing naturally. EVs are to allow Rachi to outspeed Jolly Breloom by 1. I'm lovin it {insert McDonald's pic here}

OMGHIIII (Chansey) (F) @ Eviolite
enter image description here
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature
- Wish
- Thunder Wave
- Seismic Toss
- Protect

OMG I LOVE THIS PINK BLOB. OK I'LL STOP THE CAPS EMMY. YES I PROMISE! WHATEVER YOU SAY! YES I LOVE YOU TOO. OK SERIOUSLY NOW. No really :P This thing takes any hit like a boss. Hydro Pump in rain? Sure. Fire Blast in sun? Wynaut?

252 SpA Ninetales Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Chansey in sun: 138-163 (19.6 - 23.15%) -- possible 5HKO

252 SpA Life Orb Starmie Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Chansey in rain: 204-242 (28.97 - 34.37%) -- 3.54% chance to 3HKO

252 Atk Terrakion Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 518-612 (73.57 - 86.93%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Life Orb Infernape Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 577-681 (81.96 - 96.73%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Rampardos Superpower vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 680-802 (96.59 - 113.92%) -- 81.25% chance to OHKO
Eeek so close
The one thing I calced which gave a definite OHKO is,

252+ Atk Iron Fist Conkeldurr Focus Punch vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 902-1064 (128.12 - 151.13%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Like holy crap so freaking Defensive. Tank a hit whilst wishing followed by Protect for ultimate rage. So Pinkishly Bossing.

LOLno (Latias) (F) @ Leftovers
enter image description here
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Dragon Pulse
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Fighting]

Calm Mind Latias, truly a boss of dragons. Now it's a fairly self explanatory set although maybe some of you are asking "Why HP Fighting" well you see I could run HP Fire, but then I'd only be hitting Ferro, whereas HP Fighting allows me to hit Ferro AND Tran. That was really it behind HP Fighting, Blissey still gives me hell even with it >.< but I can max my set up or switch to guts Conk for showering hell upon my opponents.

Buddy (Conkeldurr) @ Leftovers
enter image description here
Trait: Guts
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Substitute
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch
- Focus Punch

I LOVE SubPunch Conkeldurr. It is such a boss it just throws shame at everyone. Unlike fast sweepers it isn't shut down by TWave or WOW, instead it gets the boost from Guts and hits even harder. Even without that boost he still hits incredibly hard. IMPOSSIBLY hard.
One time I actually killed a Latios with him,

252+ Atk Iron Fist Conkeldurr Focus Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Latios: 204-241 (67.77 - 80.06%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Punched on the switch in, then punched while he took down the Sub, Dead Latios.
Shoutout to Ben who suggested SubPunch Conk when I first made the team, I love this guy ;)

1) Replay
2) Replay
3) Replay
4) Replay (Jona was rusty but still a win :P)

Just a few battles that I have saved.

So that's the team, more then 85% wins although I haven't been counting :P
SO that's my team, I quite enjoy it and it works very well. It is going into my archives now while I work on this new team, Thanks for reading and don't forget!!

Hmm brother I think you should drop the T-wave for Thunder o3o
'(is it underused?) CM Latias.' LOLno. But nice team, +1. :D
MrK I kind if want to rate this later :)
Be my guest Doc. Happy to try out anything you suggest.
I'd like to point out that outside of Latias (and Conk behind a sub), you have no way of stopping Techniloom and SubPunch variants of Breloom if they run a Jolly nature. A Jolly breloom outspeeds all but your Gliscor, who will weakly be spamming EQ while it sets up its SD's, and Latias, which Breloom is not stupid enough to stay in against. I'd suggest running more Speed EVs on Rachi, so you can get haxy and possibly Flinch it to death, or if it's a weakened Loom, then finish it off with Fire Punch. 136 Speed EVs safely secure to outspeed any Breloom variant, barring Scarfloom.

Btw, you're welcome for the introduction to CS :P
hmmm very true, Shouldn't be too much of a problem I don't think, I haven't seen many Brelooms lately
which is probably why I haven't noticed the weakness. I'll try speedier Rachi and see how I like it. Thanks Lenoobiness.
I failed to use CM Latias. It's not so good.
Go to chat or I kill you, Mike :D

Gliscor enter image description here

The biggest problem I see with this Pokemon is Stealth Rocks. I really don't see Stealth Rocks as a good option for Gliscor, mainly because of his walling capabilities and using Rocks just well, takes up some move space which Gliscor so needs. I would replace Stealth Rocks with Toxic (duh). This way, you'll find it much easier to wall opponents rather than just Protect and Substitute. Toxic can also be useful as a move on the switch in to hit Rotom, and thus just walling the heck out of it.
____

Rotom-W enter image description here

I don't really have any suggestions for this guy, looks good! Keep it up Rotom :)
_____

Jirachi enter image description here

Jirachi is where I will suggest having Rocks because it's such a great Pokemon with many different roles. I would replace U-Turn (I never used U-Turn on this guy, not sure how good it is other than to hit Celebi really, and Celebi can take a hit and recover) Also, Thunder Wave is good, but because your Jirachi is not that fast, I would put Body Slam in that spot instead. Why? Well first of all you want to hit ghosts. Now let's see:

The main ghosts in OU are:

  • Gengar
  • Jellicent
  • Chandelure

Now let's look at them individually:

Unless Gengar is choiced, it is fast enough to set up a Sub, which most carry. Behind a Sub, Gengar can hit you all day long with Shadow Ball or the uncommon Will-O-Wisp, making Jirachi useless, especially if it spent a turn failing at Thunder-Wave.
Jellicent wouldn't be a good Pokemon for paralysis because if it's poisoned it's like 5x better than paralysis.
The rare Chandelure can also set up Sub easily, also why would you say in against a fire type that can OHKO Jirachi with Fire Blast.
(If I missed any ghosts please tell me in the comments)

Other than that, Jirachi is great :D
____

Chansey enter image description here

What a nubcake, using Gliscor and Chansey :P
On the more serious note, Chansey be bossin'
____

Latias enter image description here

Woah back up here. Calm Mind Latias IS NOT UNDERRATED. >:(
Ok now that's out of the way, let's look at this guy. Ok so I have used this guy for a while and my Latias can get a lot of sweeps very easily if you can get the set up right. First of all, add Substitute somewhere there. That is the very first step to setting up. This blocks T-Wave and Toxic coming your way. I would replay either HP Fighting or Thunderbolt. This turns this guy into SubCM Latias btw, which is nubby but eh, it works. Now the EV spread is good and all, but I really think adding some Defensive EV's in there will help a lot. the Defensive EV's will stop stuff like Power Whip, Close Combat (maybe) and other non-Super Effective moves from breaking it first try or doing too much damage. The Spread can look something like this: 248 HP / 200 Def / Some speed EV's / Some SpA EVs. Sorry I am rusty trying to memorize from my mind but that's about it.
____

Conkeldurr enter image description here

MrK I kind of took this guy from that time when you wrecked me with it :P Sorry. But I would add Thunder Punch in there in replacement of Mach Punch, you will find Thunder Punch to hit so much, and it makes the BoltBeam punching combo. Unfortunately, this means that the priority goes away, making me think that this isn't really needed. But it does allow you to hit Jellicent. But yeah not needed.

Great team MrK, hope you have a lot of success with it! :) (I hope there suggestions weren't too bad)

I would personally switch to a Landorus-T w/ SR over Gliscor :3 and keep the Rachi as it is.
Also, where dat SDef on Conkz? Run 252 Atk / 136 SDef / remaining EVs into HP.
Thanks Doc imma be trying that shtuff out. I was going with LAti being not used much due to the fact that I rarely see it x)
And can I have the exact EV set for Lati? Maybe xP
Flare I'll also try out LT, see how he works for me.
Standard CM Lati has 252 HP, 252 Spd.

The edits helped Doc, I really like the team with the edits.
Well you almost beat him ;/
eh it was close, but I really liked your edits. det Sand kill on Chansey tho :'(
