Don't ask me about the title. o_O
I got bored and made a rain monotype team which probably suks. Nuff said. Posting a 14-3 record right now on Showdown (mixture of servers :P, and most of them rated battles ;~;)

Politoed
Politoed @ Choice Specs
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power Grass
- Ice Beam
Defensive Politoed? Screw that :3. I love the wallbreaking power from Specs Politoed and it OHKOs alot of non-resist pokemon. Standard fare, with Hydro Pump giving some much needed STAB, Focus Blast (Die Ferrothorn) to take out things like Ice types, HP Grass is my coverage against other Water types (And Gastrodon), and Ice Beam rounds off the set hitting Dragon Types and such. Stolen from Smogon;
>Hydro Pump vs. 0/0 Salamence: 68.3% - 80.7%
Hydro Pump vs. 0/0 Naive Salamence: 75.8% - 89.4%
Hydro Pump vs. 0/0 Haxorus: 95.6% - 112.6%
Hydro Pump vs. 0/0 Hydreigon: 63.1% - 74.5%
Hydro Pump vs. 0/0 Rotom-W: 73.14% - 86.36%

Yay c: Hydro Pump missing does get a little annoying, but the power is enough to compensate for it.

Quagsire
Quagsire @ Leftovers
Trait: Unaware
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Relaxed Nature
- Scald
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Recover
This guy. So overpowered especially when your opponent conveniently forgets it has unaware (Happens alot actually). His also my key player against Electric type attacks, which devastate Water Monotypes. Earthquake/Scald (STAB yay) give him some attacks, Toxic for more status and Recover lets him stall. Watching your enemy Kingdra getting to +2 attack and speed, before doing 31% damage to you with Outrage is awesome. Along with Empoleon, I switch into this guy whenever I'm afraid that my opponent is going to do something nasty and I can't predict what.

Empoleon
Empoleon @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Roar
Specially defensive Empoleon. Works quite well with Quagsire. Also Empoleon is the only thing that can take a couple grass type attacks :s. Politoed can take one or two, courtesy of the HP investment and good base special defense, but otherwise it falls to Empoleon to do the job. Stealth Rocks is so I actually have a form of hazard, Scald/Ice Beam for offensive purposes, and Roar rounds it off, allowing me to phaze, especially if i manage to predict them to use a setup move. Phazing also makes the opponent rage :D. His not a fan of fighting attacks but Starmie can take that. Maybe.

The picture was just too tempting :P
Keldeo @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Justified
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power Ice
- Surf
- Secret Sword
Ahh Scarf Keldeo. Eeveelution still hates me for beating him with this :D. Providing me a nice revenge killer, and awesome power in rain with Hydro Pump/Surf, as well as Secret Sword to beat pink blobs in the Normal Monotype teams, as well as Ferrothorn in Grass which can be a pain. Hidden Power Ice is just for more coverage, since Surf/Hydro Pump do enough anyway normally. I get to outrun +2 Adamant Cloyster, +1 Dragonite and all those annoying figs.

Starmie
Starmie @ Life Orb
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Thunder
- Surf
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Beam
Yeah Water Monotypes don't really care about Stealth Rocks, but Starmie is still pretty good. I just don't like seeing Rocks digging into my pokemon when I switch in =/. Thunder since I'm in Rain, Surf for obvious reasons (I don't want too many Hydro Pumps) and Ice Beam to give me BoltBeam coverage. I'm thinking of replacing him with Rotom-W. Maybe.

Last but not least,
Cloyster
Cloyster @ White Herb
Trait: Skill Link
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Shell Smash
- Icicle Spear
- Rock Blast
- Razor Shell
I actually find Cloyster is being the most useless member of my team overall. Sure his supposed to be great and all, but generally the rest of my Pokemon do well enough by themselves. Shell Smash to setup, Icicle Spear + Rock Blast with Skill Link for obvious reasons, and I chose Razor Shell as a last STAB move. Still even though he doesn't do that much, he still breaks Substitute and whatnot which can be really helpful (especially if Empoleon is dead). Still not sure about using Jolly or Adamant nature :P

Anyway obviously since this is a water monotype I'm going to have trouble against grass and Electric. Since Grass types get beaten by ice attacks, my only hope is to pummel them with all my ice attacks and hello cloyster. Additionally, against Electric, just spam powerful moves I suppose :P

Replays:
http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/frost-oumonotype-47930 (Electric mono. Got so close. Missing with Rock Blast on Cloyster against Rotom-W turned out to cause my loss in the end :P)
http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/frost-oumonotype-44935 (Bug mono. Was against Elite. Lots of cussing :3)
http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/oriserver-oumonotype-42771 (Normal mono, against Eevee. Even more cussing :3)
http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/frost-oumonotype-44905 (Psychic mono)
http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/oumonotype-47322347 (Dragon mono)
etc. and stuff

Obviously this team has alot of flaws so I'd still love suggestions and whatnot

Really good team, but I suggest having a Water Pokemon that can fly, to make it easier.
comment plz :c
and do you mean a water pokemon with a dual flying type or a water pokemon that can learn fly? :P
Ewww this team >.<
just because keldeo beat you :P
Knight, I have so many suggestions I'll answer it but not now, js :)
Either, probably one that can just fly, to prevent the 4x electric weakness
Flying is weak to electric...
I love this team! I have a replay against another water mono team, and I believe this shows why every pokemon on this team is there. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/oumonotype-131924538
I didn't mean to upset you by reposting, I just wanted to see if anyone could improve the Starmie, specifically... I'm sorry >.<
Ah np.
This is a Gen 5 team anyway, so it probably isn't as viable in Gen 6 and idk if I plan to remake it for Gen 6
Anyway, like I said before, someone who wishes to help can easily post on this RMT, since you already bumped it up with your replay. No need to re-RMT.
So far, it's done me good in 6th gen OU... I just got a steel mono to RQ by getting rid of his Ferrothorn =w=
My favorite team member is definitely Politoed, he's just so useful!
