Pokémon Rate My Team

Welcome everyone! I decided to name these Pokemon all in German, as back when I named my Ninetales in the time I had in Gen 5 "Die Sonne" which translates directly to "the sun." I also have a thing for German, so it's also a reason.

Team Building Process
Well, I wanted to use Mega Charizard Y, like I have in OU. The thing wrecks house.

Then I decided I wanted my obligatory Kami trio from back in the days of being a flying gym leader, Elite 4, and eventually Champion of a league on Frost that died out. I used the genie formes too much, and I wanted some pivoting power for my team.

Now, I needed a solid way to stop Cloyster, my arch nemesis with flying monos. One mon that could take it and blow it away was Skarmory, the biggest physical wall of the flying type family. Mandibuzz can't take it at all.

Now, as I can't take Cloyster and Defog at the same time with Skarmory (4 move slots and all) I decided I could use a good buff against fairies and some decent bulk, as well as something to wreck subs. I chose none other than Crobat.

Mittnacht (Crobat) (F) @ Choice Band (Safety Goggles as of 2/25/14)
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Brave Bird
- Cross Poison
- Defog
Name translation: Midnight. Banded Crobat is only dreaded less than Banded Talonflame to be facing right off the bat. (Didn't catch that pun until now) I mean, this thing goes behind your subs or screens, Brave Birds, Cross Poisons, or gets out, finishing you off while you're weak behind a sub. The bat is the ultimate predator of the night sky for a reason. Defog is tacked on because Skarm can't be bothered to do that.
(Safety Goggles analysis addition: While lacking the power of a band now, don't let this fool you. Mega Venusaur has a rough time Sleep Powdering me to render it moot. Spore Smeargle leads have not a chance in hell to take me now. Landorus-T U-Turn to Crobat takes it down to the sash and leaves them useless due to the obligatory Spore. Rare Dark Void variants might be an issue. Basically, anything with Spore can't do crap to it, nor does any powder move. Residual weather damage isn't bad to avoid with Brave Bird dealing enough recoil.)

Eisen (Skarmory) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP / 232 Def / 28 Spd
Impish Nature
- Roost
- Stealth Rock
- Iron Head
- Whirlwind
Name translation: Iron. Speaking of Skarmory... Here's the little bugger right now. Standard EVs, -4 HP + 4 Spd, since 252 HP doesn't recover to full via Leftovers from rocks. This gives me Sturdy back. Roost is self explanatory, as are rocks. Iron Head is for those cocky fairies named Gardevoir switching in (Really funny if Swagkey had Swagger'd me and I OHKO it on the switch). Whirlwind is for phazing, which is what I need to get rid of Cloyster's boosts after breaking the sash on it.

Erdbeben (Landorus-Therian) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Knock Off
Name translation: Earthquake. The first of my Kami trio. Landorus-Therian acts as a bulky scarfed pivot, allowing me to either U-Turn out, cripple the enemy with Knock Off, Earthquake, or Stone Edge. A lot of peskier megas out there run rock or ground weaknesses, and can be revenge killed or switched into by Landorus-T.

Blitzkrieg (Thundurus-Therian) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Def
Timid Nature
IVs: 2 Atk / 30 Def (0 Atk / 31 Def as of 2/25/14)
- Nasty Plot
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice] (Grass Knot as of 2/25/14)
Name translation: Lightning war. But you guys probably know that name via history class. Thundurus-T adds an electric immunity to my team along with Landorus-T, halting VoltSwitch along with being able to set up with a Nasty Plot and sweep, or wreck a Pokemon via base 145 SAtk and coverage. It's also fun to use, admittedly.
(Grass Knot added to screw over Water/Grounds that irritate me when Charizard is dead or I don't want to risk the rock move incoming.)

Wirbelsturm (Tornadus-Therian) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Atk
Hasty Nature
- U-turn
- Air Slash
- Focus Blast
- Heat Wave
Name translation: Hurricane. Whilst this is sun, and we lack Hurricane because of that, that doesn't mean I can't name it that. :V Anyway, this guy acts as a Greninja, if you will. U-Turn for obvious getting the hell out reasons, Air Slash for STAB, Focus Blast for coverage, and Heat Wave for pseudo-STAB in sun. I might replace Focus Miss for Icy Wind, as well as replace HP Ice on Thundurus for Grass Knot, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Die Hellste Stern (Charizard-Mega-Y) (F) @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Drought
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Def
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fire Blast
- Solar Beam
- Focus Blast
- Roost
Name translation: The brightest star. The brightest star of all rampages through steel teams, annihilating Heatran, Skarmory, and everything else by melting them into slag. I opted for Roost + 3 attacks to stop Sucker Punch games, at least until I could take one and OHKO back with Sun boosted Fire Blast. Fire Blast murders the game. You thought your water type could save you? Eat a Solarbeam. It breaks the standard Mega Venusaur/Heatran/Rotom-Wash/Umbreon core of OU, which means it usually will break those Pokemon's respective monotype teams. Also wrecks Rock teams with Focus Miss/Solarbeam coverage. Sand might be an issue until the setter is dead, but if I can trap it with Zard's weather up, either it dies to Solarbeam or the switch in does.

Recent changes include: Safety Goggles on Crobat (to avoid sleep and counter back any sleep abuser not named Darkrai). Also, Grass Knot on Thundurus-T, too much Water/Ground type annoyance after Charizard dies. Choice Band Defog isn't impossible to pull off. It isn't awful. You usually switch out after something comes in to take a choiced hit anyway. Mew did it with his Scizor on his VoltTurn team. Also, Crobat doesn't have a movepool outside of Roost/U-Turn/Defog/Cross Poison/Brave Bird anyway.
Speaking of German, how do you say "flower" in German? Gonna nickname my Hydreigon that. If you're wondering why, just ask.
@infernapeburn its Blume
Die Blume, yes. Sorry, I hadn't checked this section for a while. Post on my wall with any German questions you have, I'll get it to you faster that way C;
