>MagVire welcomes you to hell.

Although Magmortar is flawed with its pitiful speed and Electivire doesn't seem to have the offensive potential, this core exerts offensive presence. Let me introduce you to my MagVire team!

Team Building Process

magmortarelectivire
I first started out with Magmortar and Electivire as my core. Both of them exert good offensive presence and can easily cover each others' checks. Despite the fact that their defensive synergy isn't good, their offensive synergy is unmatched in the metagame

Unfortunately, MagVire brings a quad (4x) weakness to Ground, which makes it hard to build around. I decided to have Mesprit, so that it serves as both a lead and a switch-in to Ground-type moves. Mesprit also gives Stealth Rock + Healing Wish support.

mespritmagmortarelectiviresamurott

While Samurott doesn't seem to contribute to the team, I really needed a reliable sweeper for this team to function around. Magmortar and Electivire can easily break through walls for an easy sweep by Samurott.

Since my team is generally slow, I decided to have a reliable Scarfed revenge-kiler. I chose Sawk because of its capability to take out Rock-types, such as Archeops, and outspeed + beat certain threats, such as Sneasel.

Finally, I decided to have a Rapid Spinner. Initially I chose Sandslash because of its resistance to SR, but I realized that my team would become too slow, so I chose Cryogonal.

The Team

Mesprit@Leftovers

enter image description here

Role: Lead

Ability: Levitate
EVs: 92 HP / 252 Sp. Atk / 164 Speed
Timid Nature
Moveset:

  • Stealth Rock
  • Healing Wish
  • Energy Ball
  • Psychic

With good match-up against most Leads, Mesprit can function well in its role. It can set up Stealth Rock reliably. When there is a low HP member, Mesprit can use Healing Wish. Energy Ball gives coverage against other SR setters, such as Rhydon. Psychic is decent STAB.

Inferno (Magmortar)@Assault Vest

enter image description here

Role: Special Wall-breaker

Ability: Vital Spirit
EVs: 104 HP / 252 Sp. Atk / 152 Speed
Modest Nature
Moveset:

  • Fire Blast
  • Thunderbolt
  • Psychic
  • Focus Blast

This set is pretty self-explanatory. EVs are meant to give good HP and Speed, while maximizing its offensive potential. Fire Blast is STAB and the other moves give coverage.

Electivire@Choice Band

enter image description here

Role: Physical Wall-breaker

Ability: Motor Drive
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Speed / 4 Sp. Def
Adamant Nature
Moveset:

  • Wild Charge
  • Earthquake
  • Ice Punch
  • Cross-chop

Banded Electivire, on my team, functions as a wall-breaker. Wild Charge gets STAB, while the other moves give coverage.

Samurott@Life Orb

enter image description here

Role: Mixed Sweeper

Ability: Torrent
EVs: 4 Def / 252 Sp. Atk / 252 Speed
Timid Nature
Moveset:

  • Hydro Pump
  • Aqua Jet
  • Ice Beam
  • Grass Knot

Samurott functions well as a mixed Sweeper. Hydro Pump gets good STAB and power. Aqua Jet gives nice priority. Ice Beam is coverage against Ice-types and Grass Knot deals with major Water-types.

Sawk@Choice Scarf

enter image description here

Role: Revenge Killer

Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Sp. Def / 252 Speed
Adamant Nature
Moveset:

  • Close Combat
  • Earthquake
  • Ice Punch
  • Knock Off

Sawk is really chosen primarily because of its nice speed tier when combined with Choice Scarf. With this, it is capable of revenge killing successfully. Close Combat gives STAB. Earthquake + Mold Breaker allows it to thrash walls, such as Weezing. Ice Punch gives coverage, while Knock Off gets rid of their items and is a spammable move.

Cryogonal@Leftovers

enter image description here

Role: Spinner

Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 Sp. Atk / 252 Speed
Timid Nature
Moveset:

  • Rapid Spin
  • Freeze-Dry
  • Hidden Power [Ground]
  • Recover

Because of its high speed and Sp. Atk, Cryogonal can function well as an Offensive Spinner. Levitate also gives it an immunity to Spikes, Sticky Web, and T-Spikes, which is very helpful. Rapid Spin gets rid of hazards. Freeze Dry beats Water-types and gets STAB, while Hidden Power [Ground] beats Fire-types and Steel-types, such as Magmortar and Pawniard. Recover is a reliable healing move.

Some problems with this team is that Cryogonal takes 2x from Stealth Rock, which can really be annoying. I might need suggestions for another Spinner (but I don't want any unnecessary weaknesses). In addition, I'm not sure whether if a SD set or a Mixed set would work better for Samurott. You can suggest replacements for him.
And, of course, please make suggestions on anything that you feel that is wrong.

Anyways, that's the end of my team! Thanks in advance for your help / rates!

You have 4 pokemon that are weak to ground and only 1 pokemon that can levitate, if mesprit goes down so does your team.
Lol, Crygonal also has Levitate.... and only 2 are weak to ground.
3 are weak to ground then, Magmortar, Sawk and Electivire
Sawk is not weak to ground .... (its a pure Fighting-type)
