So, i was wondering what would be a better defensive core. Rotom-H + Amoonguss cover each other extremely well and both add great coverage and have a way of statusing opponents, with rotom-h burning things and amoonguss putting things to sleep. However, slowbro + amoonguss has similar synergy, although not as effective, but also has access to double regenerator which means they can easily restore health by simply switching out. I wanted to know which one was better overall against some of the common threats they would have to face

Amoonguss@black sludge
NATURE:relaxed
ABILITY:regenerator
EVs:252 Hp/252 sp def/4 sp atk
-spore
-synthesis
-giga drain
-sludge bomb

slowbro@leftovers
ABILITY:regenerator
NATURE:bold
EVs:252 hp/252 def/252 sp atk
-scald
-psychic
-fire blast
-slack off

Rotom-H@ Leftovers
ABILITY:levitate
NATURE:modest
EVs:252 hp/252 def/4 sp atk
-wil o wisp
-overheat
-thunderbolt/volt switch
-pain split

I don't play VGC, so please correct me if I'm wrong. In VGC, there are lots of powerful legendaries, such as Groudon and Rayquaza, so forming a core with Pokemon with OU-like stats is probably not going to work.
Also not a VGC player, but as far as I'm aware of, Amoonguss is the only one of these three pokemon that are really used in VGC, and it runs a different set than the one you have listed. If you want to use this core, I'd advise using it in the OU tier since it would work much better there than in VGC. If you're set on making a VGC team, I can't really help you there unfortuantely since, as I said above, I'm not a VGC player.
