Only cards from Rising Rivals, Supreme Victors, Arceus, and HeartGold SoulSilver are allowed. However, Energy cards from previous sets are also allowed.

Pokemon: 23

x3 Bulbasaur (SV)-A 60 HP basic. Needed for evolution.
x2 Ivysaur (SV)-When played it puts the Defending Pokemon to sleep. Needed for evolution.
x1 Venusaur (SV)-140 HP. My Grass types can't be affected by Special Conditions. It also removes all Special Conditions from my Grass types, which is good for when Rotom turns into a Grass type. Desperate Pollen is a great one for 30 that if Venusuar has eight or more damage counters causes the foe to become burned, confused, and poisoned. Then it has the awesome Special Reaction, a four for 40 that does 40 more damage for each Special Condition on the Defending Pokemon, meaning after Desperate Pollen it is a four for 160. Combine that with the damage of burn, poison, and confusion and no foe is able to survive. After I get to only a few HP I can Switch Venusaur out and heal it with Tropius.
x4 Cherubi (Arceus)-Has Water resistance. Needed for evolution.
x2 Cherrim (Arceus)-Cloudy Sky reduces damage my Grass types take by 10. If I have both out this means a 20 damage reduction. Also has resistance to Water.
x1 Cherrim (SV)-Ram is a zero for 20 attack. Petal Dance is a one energy attack that has me flip three coins and then does 30 damage times the number of heads, meaning it can do 90 damage for one energy. It would also confuse Cherrim, if not for Venusaur, which prevents Special Conditions on my Grass types. So Petal Dance has absolutely no drawbacks. Also has Water resistance.
x2 Caterpie (HGSS)-Has a one for 20 attack. I just hope to never use it. 30 HP means this guy stays in my hand until I draw Metapod, then I keep it on my bench and evolve it asap.
x1 Metapod (HGSS)-My Grass type Pokemon have no weakness.
x4 Tropius (RR)-An 80 HP basic with Fighting resistance. Fly is a good attack that can do 30 damage for one energy and also be immune to all effects of attack including damage during my opponent's next turn. Blessed Fruit is great as it fully heals one of my benched Pokemon. And Solarbeam is an alright four for 60.
x3 Mow Rotom (RR)-A 90 HP basic with Colorless resistance that hits for Electric weakness yet can hit for Grass weakness and get the benefits of Venusaur and Tropius. Mow Down is a great three for 50 that can discard an energy on all of my opponent's Pokemon.

Trainers: 16

x4 Professor Elm's Training Method (HGSS)-Gets me Evolutions.
x4 Professor Oak's New THeory (HGSS)-Drawing.
x4 Switch (HGSS)-To retreat my Pokemon, especially Venusaur.
x2 Palmer's Contribution (SV)-Gets back iinto my deck Energy and Pokemon.
x2 Pokemon Collector (HGSS)-Gets me basics.

Energy: 21

x21 Grass Energy-Needed.
