Roselia (F) @ Eviolite

Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Sludge Bomb
- Giga Drain
- Spikes
- Stun Spore

My lead. 236 Special Attack is okay, and with STAB, Sludge Bomb and Giga Drain can hit pretty hard. Spikes is entry hazard. Too many Pokemon running around RU who are completely unaffected (or just use it to get up Guts) by Toxic Spikes for me to waste my time with it. I got tired of just having a Poison type switch in and make my Roselia go to waste. Stun Spore is to take down a sweeper and provides team support. I would have used Sleep Powder but there appears to be breeding problems along with Spikes. Resists Electric attacks on Feraligatr... yeah, mainly there for the whole lead thing. Oh, and it completely screws over Whimsicott!

Hariyama (M) @ Leftovers

Trait: Guts
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Atk / 176 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Whirlwind
- Sleep Talk
- Stone Edge
- Force Palm

I know, Sleep Talk seems really random. However, I've had enough people trying to put me to sleep to get out my old Fighting type (Hitmonlee) and use a Hariyama. I can usually predict a status move and switch in Hariyama. Burn, paralysis, Poison, Sleep. I don't care what it is (unless it is Freeze) I will take it and go Guts on you! Whirlwind is a nice way to get rid of any stat boosters. If I am asleep, I can get neutral priority with it from Sleep Talk. Since I don't do Team Preview, I use this to also scout out my opponent's team. Stone Edge is coverage. Also running it makes people seem to think I'm not running Sleep Talk and they've been known to use a sleep inducing move then. Force Palm paralyzes the foe (and gets STAB) allowing Hariyama to move first for once.

Spiritomb (M) @ Leftovers

Trait: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Rest
- Dark Pulse
- Calm Mind
- Sleep Talk

I'm keeping Spiritomb on my team but this time I'm using a Calm Mind set. I tested with two different Calm Mind sets. The first was this Restalk one. The second was a ChestoRest one with HP Fighting over Sleep Talk. I found this set to be more effective, although the second one did make a lot of sense. I just found Toxic and other such status to be much more of a problem than Steel and Dark types. So what I do is get a Calm Mind up, Rest off any damage I take, then use Sleep Talk to either get me more Calm Mind boosts or hit hard with a boosted Dark Pulse. The set worked really well and while it doesn't have the priority of the first set, I found I could still hit first when supported by Roselia and Hariyama. The bulk and the damage after Calm Minding was great, and I really like this new set.

Manectric (M) @ Choice Scarf

Trait: Lightningrod
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Overheat
- Volt Switch
- Switcheroo
- Hidden Power [Grass]

Standard Manectric, although I prefer the power of a Modest nature, event hough I use Switcheroo. Overheat is coverage, and since I'm Choiced, I switch out from that Special Attack drop. Volt Switch+Scarf is great. Switcheroo screws walls. And HP Grass gets that x4 hit on stuff like Rhydon, Quagsire, and hits harder than Volt Switch against Omastar and Kabutops. It also hits Lanturn and causes me not to have to switch out all the time against Sandslash.

Moltres @ Life Orb

Trait: Flame Body
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Air Slash
- Fire Blast
- Roost
- Hidden Power [Grass]

One of the two Pokemon replacing Feraligatr and Metang is Moltres. Moltres is well known for being one of the best Special Sweepers in RU. I'm using the standard set because it best fit my team and purposes. Fire Blast does massive damage with that base power and STAB, and with Escavalier now in RU, it becomes even more important. Air Slash is also STAB. HP Grass is there for the same reasons it is on Manectric. And Roost provides me with healing. Flame Body makes it so I can screw some physical sweepers.

Quagsire (F) @ Leftovers

Trait: Unaware
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Curse
- Recover
- Waterfall

The second Pokemon replacing Feraligatr and Metang. Quagsire was somebody I thought of right away when I added Moltres to my team, seeing as it makes up the Fire/Flying Water/Ground core that I loved back with Charizard and Swampert. I get some Curses up and start tanking. Earthquake and Waterfall are STAB while Recover is healing.
