NU Hail Team!!!!!!!!

1 vote

Finished all of my Weather teams except NU Hail and my second NU Sun. Here i go with my NU Hail!

Regice

Regice @ Icy Rock
Trait: Ice Body
EVs: 252 SAtk/ 248 HP/ 8 SDef
Modest Nature (+SAtk,-Atk)

  • Thunder Wave
  • Blizzard
  • Thunderbolt
  • Hail

This was originally the BoltBeam combo moveset but i replaced some moves. Hail is the theme of this team and guarantees that Blizzard will hit the opponent. Thunder Wave is good support to the team and ensure the foe gets slower. Blizzard is powerful STAB but low PP and Thunderbolt is a good attack. Hail is paired up with Icy Rock for 8 turns of winter-kind of weather.

Wartotle

Wartortle @ Eviolite
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 SDef/ 4 Def
Calm Nature (+SDef,-Atk)

  • Rapid Spin
  • Seismic Toss
  • Haze
  • Yawn

My Rapid Spinner. Hail teams always have a problem against Stealth Rock because of the amount of Ice types in those teams. Eviolite plus those Defense EVs gives him a certain bulk. Seismic Toss is good on a Pokemon that is not made for attacking, in this case, Wartortle, because it always does the same amount of damage. Haze is for all the Stat boosts that the opponent gets and Yawn is for forcing switches and getting them poisoned and damaged with the Spikes.

Garbodor

Garbodor @ Black Sludge
Trait: Stench
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 Def/ 4 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def,-SAtk)

  • Rock Blast
  • Gunk Shot
  • Spikes
  • Toxic Spikes

I used this Garbodor set previously and it worked surprisingly well. He is my Spikes setter and my Stench abuser. Rock Blast + Stench makes it a 20 to 50% chance for the foe to flinch and Gunk Shot is STAB. Spikes and Toxic Spikes are Entry Hazards that work well with Wartortle's Yawn.

Articuno

Articuno @ Icy Rock
Trait: Snow Cloak
EVs: 252 SAtk/ 248 HP/ 8 SDef
Modest Nature (+SAtk,-Atk)

  • Hail
  • Blizzard
  • Hidden Power Flying
  • Roar

My Specially inclined Pokemon. Awesome stats in Special Defense and his Special Attack is not that bad. Hail to start off. Because of the Hail, Articuno's Evasion is raised by 20% (Snow Cloak). Blizzard will always hit the opponent because of the Hail and it is STAB. HP Flying is the only decent Flying STAB that Articuno can have. Roar is also good with Garbodor setting up the Spikes.

Lampent

Lampent @ Eviolite
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 SAtk/ 4 Def
Quiet Nature (+SAtk,-Spe)

  • Trick Room
  • Fire Blast
  • Shadow Ball
  • Energy Ball

My Fire absorber. Trick Room is for turning him into a dangerous sweeper. Fire Blast is STAB and so is Shadow Ball and Shadow Ball provides coverage. Energy Ball is for coverage against Water types.

Sawk

Sawk @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 4 HP
Adamant Nature (+Atk,-SAtk)

  • Close Combat
  • Stone Edge
  • Earthquake
  • Payback

A Pokemon i trust a lot and that i use in many of my NU teams. Close Combat is STAB and hits very hard. Stone Edge is for coverage against Flying types and Earthquake covers a lot of types for my teammates. Payback will never really double in power, it is just there for Psychic type coverage.

The end of my NU Hail team! Very proud of this one as well! Thanks for reading and thank you for answering!

What you should do is put in your Pokemon and edit with explanation later, which is completely fine.
Ok, the explanation thing from Trachy is what i will do. Though i don't know why you would hide them.
Because they're incomplete and can't be rated yet.
i like the team :)
Thanks, LS :D
