This team has given amazing performances as it won 12/14 games, which is actually very good. I know it isn't perfect so that's why i am posting it.
___
Persian

Persian @ Normal Gem
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk/ 252 Spd/ 4 Def
Jolly Nature (+Spd,-SAtk)

  • Fake Out
  • U-Turn
  • Bite
  • Return

Persian might seem like an awkward lead but he has a very powerful Fake Out which is boosted by STAB, Technician and Normal Gem. U-Turn is for switching out, which makes Persian the perfect scout and Bite is powered by Technician, which boosts its Base Power to 90 with a decent chance to flinch. Return is STAB and is to finish off weakened foes.
___
Shuckle

Shuckle @ Grip Claw
Trait: Contrary
EVs: 252 HP/ 228 SDef/ 28 Def
Impish Nature (+Def,-SAtk)

  • Shell Smash
  • Toxic
  • Wrap
  • Power Split

I have a very rare moveset here for Shuckle. My plan is to use Shell Smash, which with Contrary, lowers my Offenses and boosts my Defenses. Shuckle will now have insane Defenses. Toxic is for Stalling. Wrap + Grip Claw makes sure the foe can't escape. Power Split gives the opponent Shuckle's terrible offenses. I then switch to Absol, Mawile or Gorebyss and i use Swords Dance/ Nasty Plot as many times as possible until the foe can switch (even if he tries to attack me, i won't lose much HP because he has terrible offenses.) and then i can sweep.
___
Mawile

Mawile (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk/ 248 HP/ 8 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk,-SAtk)

  • Swords Dance
  • Iron Head
  • Substitute
  • Focus Punch

Trying Trachy's set and it works wonders. Shuckle is my Special Wall and Mawile is my Physical Wall. Rocky Helmet does a lot of damage to Pokemon that try to go Physical on Mawile as it takes 1/6 of their max HP. Places behind a Substitute, Mawile can use Swords Dance safely. He can then use Focus Punch which hits really hard and covers a lot of types or go with Iron Head, which is STAB and has a decent chance to flinch.
___
Absol

Absol (F) @ Fight Gem
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk/ 4 Def/ 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk,-SAtk)

  • Sucker Punch
  • Substitute
  • Swords Dance
  • Superpower

Another set that Trachy uses that i tried and appreciated. I don't know if Justified is released or not but if it is, it is the ability i would use. Sucker Punch is Priority and is STAB. Substitute is for setting up Swords Dance safely and Superpower + Fight Gem is stronger against Fighting types than Psycho Cut.
___
Haunter

Haunter @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk/ 252 Spd/ 4 HP
Timid Nature (+Spd,-Atk)

  • Shadow Ball
  • Sludge Bomb
  • Hidden Power Ground
  • Thunderbolt

I just tried out this set and it works wonders. With Choice Scarf and Timid Nature, he outspeeds absolutely everything in the NU Tier apart from Ninjask. Shadow Ball is STAB and is coverage against Ghost types. Sludge Bomb is STAB as well. HP Ground hits Lairon, Probopass and Bastiodon for super-effective damage while Thunderbolt hits Braviary, Samurott and Wartortle for super-effective damage.
___
Gorebyss

Gorebyss @ White Herb
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 SAtk/ 252 Spe/ 4 HP
Timid Nature (+Spe,-Atk)

  • Shell Smash
  • Surf
  • Ice Beam
  • Hidden Power Electric

He is banned in my Gym for a reason: He is the biggest threat in NU. With Timid Nature and Shell Smash, he virtually outspeeds everybody in the NU tier. Surf is STAB and Ice Beam is coverage against Grass types. HP Electric is for opposing Gorebyss and other Water types.

Welp, gonna try and answer this since you asked me. At first I was only noticing small things, but after some thought I started to see more. So let's get started. :7

Persian

  • Wonderful lead, reminds me of Ambipom, the undercover monster. The only concern I have is you using a Normal Gem, which only gets to be used once. Have you considered Silk Scarf (Which boost normal type moves 20%, which IMO is better than the 50% Normal Gem boost in the long run.) , or even Life Orb (Which boost all moves by 1.3x the attack power). I'd suggest Life Orb over Silk scarf because as you know Sawk, Emboar, Braviary, Pinsir, Zangoose, ect. Arebecoming more common, and Persians not going to be able to take a Close Combat / Super Power. Also, it not only boost your Fake Out, but your other moves as well.

Shuckle

  • You already know how I feel about this, WAY TOO GIMMICKY. I can see how this WOULD POTENTIALLY WORK, but NO. Since you have Mawile as your defensive wall, I'm gong to suggest a special wall which can benefit this team nicely.

>Specially Defensive Altaria.

Which can sponge fire / fighting / ground attacks aimed at mawile.

Mawile

  • Something new, people probably will not know what to expect. I like it.

Absol

  • Only thing that could be a problem is Sub+Disable Haunter, which you may or may not have encountered. So I'd recommend Night Slash over Sucker Punch which isn't necessary but just an option. Also I'd put a lum berry on absol because you know someone's first priority is going to be to burn absol. And if they do, you use the lum, and by that time. They're already going to be dead before they can burn you again.

Haunter

  • This thing is wrecked by sucker punch, maybe you should add Substitue in there somewhere? Other than that, it's fine.

Gorebyss

  • No suggestions.

One final thought you should keep in ,Ind, this team is very weak to sawk, and you don't really have a proper counter. So you might want to add a flying type move / Pokemon. Also this team is no fan of Hazards, or Status moves. So a cleric / spinner / your own hazard layer could be appreciated in this team.

Yeah.... You are right. But this team is just a test team, so you.
Actually, FIght Gem ends up working out the best in all the battles I tested this guy out in. And that happens to be a fair number, as this guy is in use on two of my teams. Absol can come in on a foe and will usually force a switch. By that time you'll have a Sub up and there is no fear of Burn.

Also, Sub-Disable Haunter is still a problem even with Night Slash, because Disable goes through your Sub. So it will still disable Night Slash. As such, I would just keep Sucker Punch, as it does force an attack. Just... take care around Haunter.

Other than Absol, I agree with everything else you have here, although I'll be battling this team later to get a better feel for it.

Well, first off is the swap outs of Pokemon on your team. Emboar wrecks your team and while it will eventually kill itself it will only do so after tearing such a huge hole through your team you could fit a bulldozer in it.

Mawile should be replaced. I like Mawile on the team. But it actually isn't the bulkiest thing ever. Even when a Pokemon gets a stat drop a SE move can do enough to KO plenty of the time. Sawk and Emboar actually don't care much about the Intimidate stat drop and can still KO Mawile. Instead, let's get in a tried and true physical wall, Alomomola.

I could see Altaria being swapped out for a Bastiodon or a Golem. These guys give you Entry Hazards and can also give you Roar for some phazing. I think this team could benefit a lot from this.

Other than that, the Life Orb that Riles suggested on Persian. Also, consider using Taunt on Persian over Return. People will usually predict a hit and run and use the time to either set up hazards or set up stat boosts. So Taunt stops that.

And that should be all you need to help this team perform better!
