Altaria
Altaria @ Choice Specs
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 192 HP / 252 SAtk / 64 Spe
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Rest
Item: Choice Specs are here for the ultimate power boost, almost OHKO'ing everything in it's way.
Ability: Natural Cure can be used to absorb Will-O-Wisps, T-Waves and other annoying Status Problems. When i switch, they dissapear.
EVs: EVs allow Altaria to outspeed Adamant Torterra and smack it with a power Draco Meteor. 192 HP allows it to take a hit from Specs Exeguttor and then replicate with Draco Meteor or Fire Blast.
Nature: Modest Nature is preffered for the extra power. He won't be outspeeding many Pokemon in the tier with that low Speed.
Moves: Dragon and Fire attacks together provide close-to-perfect coverage in NU and Specs allows Altaria to get the most power out of it's attacks. Draco Meteor is his main STAB and hits extremely hard. Not many Pokemon can resist two Draco Meteors in a row. Fire Blast performs great coverage with Draco Meteor and hits stuff that Draco Meteor can't hit for normal of super-effective damage. HP Ground 2HKO's defensively inclined Bastiodon and Probopass who resist Fire Blast and Draco Meteor. Rest surprisingly works with a Choice Item as Altaria will switch out, meaning that Natural Cure will take care of the Status.
Roles: Special sweeper, Status Absorber.

Torterra
Torterra @ Choice Band
Trait: Overgrow
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Wood Hammer
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Superpower
Item: Choice Band is again preferred for the Extra power. It adds power to the obliteration.
Ability: Overgrow or Sturdy...? I have no clue. I chose Overgrow here for more power so almost nothing will resist is STAB.
EVs: EVs are pretty much the standard Physical sweeper spread.
Nature: Adamant Nature adds even more power as he won't be outspeeding much.
Moves: Takes down anything that resist the wrath of Specs Altaria. Wood Hammer and Earthquake are powerful dual STABs while Stone Edge hits Flying types who wall the two previous attacks. Superpower gets rid of any kind of Cradily, one Pokemon who has been giving me a lot of trouble.
Roles: Takes care of threats that Altaria can't deal with, Physical sweeper.

Samurott
Samurott @ Life Orb
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Waterfall
- Megahorn
- Aqua Jet
Item: Gives him more power in general so all his moves do more damage.
Ability: Torrent is basically the only Ability he can get as his other DW Ability is not released yet.
EVs: Again, the normal Physical Sweeper EV Spread except that 4 EVs in Defense give him a bit more bulk.
Nature: Adamant for even more power. Heh heh. I love hyper offense
Moves: So as you can see, my two previous Pokemon have both a 4x weakness to Ice. Samurott switches-in on those and uses Swords Dance on the switch. Most of the Ice types are helpless against Water types so they will switch. Now, Samurott can proceed to sweep the opposing team as Walls have been torn to pieces by Altaria and Torterra. Waterfall is his primary STAB and KO'es most of the Tier at +2. Now, that's good! Megahorn is there so he's not helpless against Grass types.Aqua Jet is for foes that i know Samurott can't outspeed. It does a decent amount of damage since it's STAB.
Roles: Physical Sweeper, Set-Up sweeper, Threat control, Revenge killer (Aqua Jet).

Luxray

You'reLuckyI'mUsingYou (Luxray) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def,-Atk)

  • Discharge
  • Volt Switch
  • Toxic
  • Roar

Item: Leftovers provide some health recovery. It's useful for any defensively inclined Pokemon.
Ability: Intimidate provides even more bulk on the Defensive side. The other Abilities are not as useful since this Luxray is a defensive Pokemon.
EVs: These EVs give him a lot of bulk while the 4 EVs in Special Attack let's him hit hard enough.
Nature: Bold Nature is preferred here as he needs more Defense and doesn't need Attack at all. In this set, that is.
Moves: Luxray has 3 jobs. He can take Physical hits and he can stall with Toxic or Paralysis via Discharge. Discharge is STAB and that big Paralysis chance is very nice. Volt Switch is there so he's not a complete set-up bait as he can switch out to somebody who can handle the threat better. Toxic is epic Stalling as it can help my sweepers handle the threats more easily while Roar gets rid of Pokemon that try to set-up on him.
Roles: Phazer, Status inducer, Scout, Physical Wall.

Lickilicky

Lickilicky @ Leftovers
Trait: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Spd
Careful Nature (+SDef,-SAtk)
- Wish
- Protect
- Heal Bell
- Body Slam

Item: Leftovers are the perfect Item on any Pokemon. It's even better on Walls and Stallers. Lickilicky is my Special Wall.
Ability: Own Tempo is his only viable Ability here, and it can be helpful at some times.
EVs: EVs give him a lot of bulk while the four EVs in Speed give him the power to sweep with Body Slam.
Nature: Careful Nature gives him more bulk while getting of Special Attack, which is useless.
Moves: Lickilicky provides support to my team. Wish can be used to heal my teammates while Protect can be used for Stalling with Luxray's Toxic or automatically healing myself with Wish. It can also used for Scouting what Choiced users will use. Heal Bell provides more support to my team, getting rid of annoying Status Problems. Body Slam is STAB and is there so he's not a complete Taunt bait. It can also help as both members of my Defensive core (Luxray & Lickilicky) can paralyze.
Roles: Special Wall, Wish support, Heal Bell support.

Musharna
Musharna @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 252 Def/ 228 HP/ 16 SDef/ 16 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def,-SAtk)
- Calm Mind
- Moonlight
- Psychic
- Signal Beam
Item: Leftovers is here for the same reason that it is on my two other Walls (Luxray and Lickilicky).
Trait: Synchronize is here since Forewarn and Telepathy are uttrely useless.
EVs: It's the basic Smogon EV Spread with 16 EVs less in HP. I invested those 16 in Special Attack or else it won't hit hard enough, even with Calm Mind.
Nature: Bold Nature is given here so with Calm Mind, he becomes a huge offensive and defensive threat.
Moves: Calm Mind turns him into an Offensive and Defensive threat. Moonlight should be on any non-Choiced set, as it is very reliable health recovery. Psychic is his main attack and it's STAB. Signal Beam is coverage against Dark types though i doubt i would stay in against those, unless i have a lot of Calm Minds in place.
Roles: Tank, Set-up Sweeper.

Can someone fix the Sprites, please? Torterra and Altaria don't seem to work D:
I am using Mew's new RMT Formats now. Credit to him.
You have an Ice weakness. 2 are 4x weak and only 1 resists it.
But that's what cool as Samurott can use SD on the switch.
Dr is gonna stare at this endlessly during the battle... js
I'm not seeing your Samurott strategy working tbh. What water and ice types do you see in NU without a coverage move? Plus, it's not like Samurott can take tons of hits, even resisted.
Why do people try challenge others? It makes no sense I didn't come up with the rule as its pointless considering the league isn't in order to any format just random.
Plus people challenge in a random order anyway.
Appart from that nice team but I'm worried that your not using hazards as half the team is stall so torte era should work for that slot.
So many Pokemon in Nu have massive weaknesses to rocks, try and abuse that and compliment the fact you are using roar not just to annoy the opponent and stop setting up.
Just bringing back up.
Darn now i can't I have to challegne Ruopp. Watch out Ruopp :P

Well, this is going to be tricky to answer, because this is a really good team, and congrats on that. You obviously spent a lot of time on it. However, there's still SOME things that can be improved, lol. So let's get right in!

Altaria

I really don't think you need Hidden Power [Ground]. Dragon and Fire have perfect neutral coverage in NU. Torterra SHREDS both of the walls you mentioned, Probopass and Bastiodon, with its STAB Earthquake. It's also a horrible move to be locked into, as it poses no threat when not super effective, and also has a ton of immunities just begging for a free substitute / rock polish / swords dance / whatever.

So, replace it with either Dragon Pulse or Ice Beam. Dragon Pulse is a secondary STAB move, useful for when you have to dish out multiple hits in a row. However, Ice Beam has lovely coverage. In this instance, I'm going to recommend Dragon Pulse, as even though your team has no Ice type moves, your STAB dragon attacks or coverage moves hit the main targets of it hard enough. ( SDef Altaria, SDef Amoonguss, Rotom-S )

Torterra

Perfect, no suggestions. Definitely stick with Overgrow, you have no spinner.

Actually, now I think about it, your team could use some more Speed. Sawk is a great Choice Bander as well, as you know, and kills the same walls that Torterra does. Not required, but always an option.

Sawk (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Ice Punch
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

Pretty standard set; Close Combat is STAB and once stuff like Musharna, Misdreavus and Amoonguss have removed, you're free to spam it to victory. Ice Punch hits Flying and Grass types, and has the all important 100% accuracy. Earthquake nails Poison types. Stone Edge gets a harder hit off against Bugs, and is your strongest move against Levitating Ghost types. This guy kills off the few Steels in NU, so nothing can withstand your powerful Draco Meteors. >:3

Samurott

Also good; consider Lum Berry as it helps against various Spores, Thunder Waves and Will-O-Wisps. It's not like you'll ALWAYS be switching in on Ice moves, is it.

Luxray

I like what you've done with him here, however in reality Luxray isn't a great defensive Pokemon because of his poor typing ( including a weakness to Earthquake ) and no reliable recovery. A nice replacement would be Misdreavus, who has better defensive typing, as well as lots of nice support moves and recovery.

Misdreavus (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 224 Def / 32 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp / Thunder Wave
- Shadow Ball
- Pain Split

Trachy always runs 28 speed EVs, so I always run 32 :D Eviolite and the EV spread give it very respectable bulk. Taunt is chosen over Heal Bell since you have that on Lickilicky. Will-O-Wisp is preferred to cripple most physical attackers, but Thunder Wave is always an option in case you miss the paralysis support from Luxray. Shadow Ball is STAB in case of a faster Taunt, and Pain Split is recovery ( sometimes unreliable, but it's better than nothing (cough LUXRAY ) ).

Lickilicky

Lickilicky doesn't fit in here much at all. You don't need a Wish passer, as 3 / 5 of your other Pokemon have access to reliable recovery and the other two are sweepers, lol. Anyway, your team also lacks Stealth Rock, which is essential for breaking Focus Sashes and wearing down stuff like Swellow, Braviary, Butterfree etc. So let's go with Miltank!

Miltank (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Atk
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Body Slam / Seismic Toss
- Milk Drink
- Heal Bell

Secondary switchin to Ice type attacks aimed at your wallbreakers, because let's be honest, Samurott doesn't have very good special defense and with residual damage adding up from hazards and Life Orb it won't stay around forever. I prefer Body Slam to Seismic Toss because I think hax is awesome, but that's your call. Milk Drink lets you never die, and Heal Bell cures your team of status. Really this Pokemon fills the same role as Lickilicky did, but 10x better.

Musharna

Almost perfect. However, run this EV spread: 240 HP / 252 Def / 16 Spd. It lets you outrun minimum speed Amoonguss before it puts you to sleep, and kill it with Psychic.

Okay then, I'm done. I hope my suggestions helped! :]
