Brotad is a portmanteau of "bro", abbreviated slang for "brother" commonly used to refer to any male directly, and "lotad", an unevolved water/grass type pokemon who first appeared in the third generation. That is the technical definition.
Informal definition:
Brotad's the mad rad lillypad
In real life a young man and pokefan
Trying to find his place in the pokebase
And help out when he can
Note: I love all pokemon, though gen six might break my heart. Creating a top ten list was heart wrenching. Gliscor, mewtwo, rayquaza, sceptile, dragonite and tyranitar are just a few examples of pokemon who almost made the list.
