Chandelure (F) @ Choice Scarf

Trait: Shadow Tag

EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 248 Spd

Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)

  • Energy Ball
  • Flamethrower
  • Shadow Ball
  • Hidden Power [Fighting]

Nice revenge killer set, I was about about to post the same one, almost didn't see this LoL
Not afraid of Heatran?
eh, i have other things to take care of heatran with.
i get to finish off someone before heatran comes in, and when it does i can't switch move anyway.
i like the coverage against fighting types.

Chandelure (F) @ Choice Scarf

Ability: Shadow Tag

EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spe

Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)

  • Shadow Ball
  • Fire Blast
  • Energy Ball
  • Hidden Power Ice

I've been using Chandelure for a long time and still am, And this is probably the best one IMO.

by
The King of Ghosts has Spoken.
Why hidden power ice? HP Fighting is  better surely?
No, Hidden Power Ice has good use in OU against Gliscor, Landorus, Dragonite etc...
I wish I could use this on PS....unfortunately, Shadow Tag Chandy is banned currently :(

Chandelure (F) @ Life Orb

Trait: Shadow Tag

EVs: 4 HP / 252 Sp.Atk / 252 Spe

Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)

  • Shadow Ball
  • Fire Blast
  • Energy Ball/Hidden Power Ice
  • Pain Split

Shadow Ball is STAB and has accuracy definitely reliable.
STAB Fire Blast hits ridiculously hard coming off of Chandelure's base 145 Sp.Atk stat, And Life Orb boosted.
Energy Ball is used to hit water and rock types, Mainly. Completely destroys Gastrodon and the likes.
Hidden Power Ice hits Dragons for super effective damage, But doesn't really have any other use outside of that.
Pain Split works well with Chandelure's good base 90 defenses and "eh" 60 base HP stats.

Hahaha, Quiet nature doesn't increase Sp Attack and lower Attack, that is Modest!
^^'
sorry about that, i edited it a little here in the answer after making it on PO.
Thanks, fixed.

Post-Memento Switch In

Chandelure (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Shadow Tag
EVs: 252 SAtk / 36 SDef / 220 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Flame Charge
- Substitute/Calm Mind
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fighting]

Team with Dugtrio. Now you have plenty of time to boost your Speed stat. When you have high enough Speed, you can then either set up Substitute to protect against Sucker Punch (the biggest threat) or you can choose to go for the Heatran and Blissey KO with Calm Mind. Shadow Ball and Hidden Power Fighting get perfect neutral coverage.

by
Are u Kidding flame charge On the worst attaker in black!??!?!?!
Flame-charge is not for damaging, it is for boosting his Speed stat. Think of it as a mini-agility.
Interesting moveset.

The saddest of all movesets: Physical Chandelure. Yes, you must be like, what are you thinking, he has 55 base Attack! Well check this out, it actually works.

Chandelure

Chandelure @ Life Orb/ Leftovers
Trait: Shadow Tag
EVs: 252 Atk/ 252 Spd/ 4 HP
Adamant Nature (+Atk,-SAtk)

  • Swagger
  • Psych Up
  • Flame Charge
  • Astonish/ Frustration/ Return/ Payback/ Giga Impact/ Substitute

Shadow Tag is a huge part of this combo and you will see why. Swagger raises by two stages the foe's Attack and confuses. I normally switch into Blissey or Chansey, as they cannot do a single thing while i keep using Swagger. I then use Psych Up to copy all the Stat raises. Flame Charge is to correct his low Speed and is STAB. The last moveslot is all up to you. Astonish is a terrible move but is some Ghost STAB. Frustration and Return do some decent damage. Payback is just some normal damage. Giga Impact hits tremendously hard but there is that recharging that's very annoying. Last but not least, you could use Substitute on him for blocking Status. Life Orb is the preffered Item for hard-hitting but Lefties can be used for healing the damage that you receive.

P.S: What ever you choose in the last moveslot, Heatran is the best counter. If you choose Substitute, he completely walls you. Fortunately, he is rare in DW Ubers.

by
Best set ever.
Thanks xD
That is pretty clever.
cool set. I NEVER thought a Physical set for Chandelure would work. Thanks for convincing me otherwise :)
Lol, it's a semi-gimmick set, it kind of helped me sweep a guy, but I doubt it's very reliable.
Counters that are used in uber, Giratina (Normal for last slot), and Tyranitar for both.
Peeh, I tried =-=
The kind of set that nobody sees coming

Chandelure
Chandelure @ Focus Sash
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Overheat
- Shadow Ball
- Energy Ball

by
If it's Trick Room, it should have 0 Speed IVs as well, I think.
Thank you. For some odd reason, Showdown didn’t give those to me
I dunno about this moveset, Overheat that halves your SpA when this moveset is almost full of Special Attacks?
It’s supposed to be a trick room setter, and it’ll likely be at low HP once it sets Trick Room, so Overheat is pretty much just to nuke something before it dies

"I didn't know chandeliers could move so fast!"

Ability: Flash Fire- adds another immunity, increases power of fire moves, and works as a great switch-in
Nature: Timid (+Spe, -Atk)
EVs: 252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 HP
Item: Life Orb
- Flamethrower/Heat Wave- high power STAB
- Hex- works great with Will-o-wisp and STAB
- Will-o-wisp- burns foe and weakens foes physical attacks
- Energy Ball- eliminates 3 weaknesses

Chandelure (M) @ Wide Lens
Trait: Shadow Tag
EVs: 200 HP / 252 SDef / 52 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Inferno
- Hex
- Telekinesis
- Protect

Telekinesis and wide lens helps with Inferno, which in turn powers up Hex, giving the foe massive damage. Protect is for the burn to hurt the opponent more, and shadow tag ensures that he cannot switch

No one has tried this. (I don't think)

Chandelure @ Life Orb
Ability: Infiltrator
Timid Nature
EVs: 252 Spe / 252 SpA / 4 Hp

  • Calm Mind/Pain Split
  • Substitute
  • Flamethrower
  • Shadow Ball

You dearly need to outspeed the opponent for this set to be at its full potential. Use Substitute on the first turn to scout. Then, you can either set up with Calm Mind or Pain Split to heal off damage from Life Orb and Substitute. Flamethrower is for Fire STAB, and Shadow Ball is for Ghost STAB.

[email protected] Scarf
Chandelure
Ability:Flash Fire
Nature:Timid
EVs:252 SpA/252 Spe/4 HP
•Trick
•Shadow Ball
•Fire Blast
•Calm Mind
This is meant to switch in on a fire type move, though a normal/fighting move works just fine. Switch in, get flash fire boost, lock them on to the fire move with trick, and calm mind while they switch.

by
I'm seeing these sets a lot more these days, so know it's not just you, but having a choice item and a setup move, even with trick isn't good. It means that you MUST use trick, even tho its say a hyper offensive team and you don't want to give them the boost. It went from trick for fun stuff, but i can use it without tricking as well, tricking is just a bonus, to i have to use trick for it to work. also don't do 4 evs in hp, as chandelure especially has a weakness to SR and if you want to get a trick off, you'll need some switching.

Gen 8 NFE
Trick Room Set for Lampent
Lampent
Lampent @ Eviolite
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Shadow Ball
- Flamethrower
- Calm Mind
- Trick Room

With Lampent's base speed of 55, it can outspeed some Pokémon in Trick Room. Shadow Ball and Flamethrower are STAB moves. Calm Mind is to boost your Special Attack. You can setup Trick Room if you predict that the opponent is going to switch.

Chandelure
[email protected]
Ability:Flash Fire
Nature:Timid
EVs:252 SpA/252 Spe/4 HP
•Substitute
•Minimize
•Calm Mind
•Flamethrower
Very gimmicky set. If you think the opponent is about to use a non damaging move, hide behind a substitute. Minimize lets you evade attacks so you can set up Calm Mind. Flamethrower is STAB.

Chandelure (M) @ Leftovers

- Shadow Ball
- Psychic

I could just put the usual special attacker moveset, but I decided to be original and add a support/stall moveset.

Don't ask why.

Chandelure @ Focus Sash
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 220 Def / 68 SAtk / 220 SDef
Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spe)
- trick Room
- Will-O-Wisp/Toxic
- Fire Spin
- Shadow Ball/Fire Blast

It probably isn't very good, but Someone had to try.

This move set can be used effectively, and is also versatile. It makes up for Chandelure's short comings and can also screw your opponent over. It may look familiar, though...

Chandelure (M/F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EV's: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid/ Modest Nature (+Spd, -Atk) OR (+SAtk, - Atk)
- Fire Blast
- Energy Ball
- Shadow Ball
- Trick

Chandelure has decent defenses and stellar Special Attack, but low Speed. That combination screams Choice Scarf to me; this guy is like a Specail Darminitan.
Simple: hit hard with STAB attacks or pound cocky Rock, Ground, and/or Water types. Trick anyone who dares set up, of they survive.
*Chamdelure is immune to BOTH of Ferrothorn's weaknesses, so pairing the two is a good combination as Ferrothorn resist all of its weaknesses.

Here's my Chandy
Chandelure

[email protected] Orb
Trait: Flame Body
Timid Nature
EVs: 252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 Hp
Moves:
Flamethrower
Psychic
Energy Ball
Shadow Ball

This guy really puts a hole in teams, he is not to be messed with :)

Chandelure
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Shadow Tag
Nature: Modest
EVs: 80 HP / 192 Defense / 172 Sp. Attack / 66 Sp. Defense
Moves:
-Hex (STAB + Great Power With Burn)
-Inferno (STAB + Burn)
-Pain Split (Recover HP While Doing Some Damage)
-Calm Mind (Stat Boosting)

Yes, hate me if you will for using Inferno, but I think this set is awesome when it lands. The EVs are a bit tricky, but I think what's there is fine.

Chandelure all out Sweeper aka Wrecker
Item: Life Orb/Choice Scarf/Choice Specs
Ability : Infiltrator
Evs: SpAtk 252/Speed 252/HP 4
Nature: Modest

Flamethrower
Energy Ball
Psychic
Shadow Ball

I found that this set had the best coverage and could easily one shot most Pokemon with a Life Orb or Choice Specs

Now I know this sounds a bit strange, but I use a reuniclus with this guy, and I decided to make this set:
Chandelure
Chandelure

Role: trick-room sweeper

evs: 252 sp.atk, 252 sp.def, 4 hp, Quiet (+sp.atk, -spe)

ability: flash-fire

  • shadow ball
  • energy ball
  • hp fighting, or hp bug (which every one your lucky enough to get)
  • fire blast or flamethrower

Right now, my reuniclus has trick room, so if you don't have trick room with some other Pokemon, then make the hidden powers trick room instead.

Chandelure Moveset
Ability : Shadow Tag
EVs : 252 Sp. Att, 252 Sp.
Nature: Timid (-Att +Spe)

Toxic - I usually use Will-O-Wisp because MY Chandelure has a nature that loosens its Defense stat, but I'd choose Toxic, which is great unless you're battling a Steel type, but you're a fire type. Duh.

Flamethrower/Fire Blast - depends what item you'll be using, if you're using an item that boosts you're accuracy, go with Fire Blast, but if you're not use Flamethrower. But these 2 attacks have 2 things in common-High Power, STAB.

Energy Ball - Good Power, High Accuracy, covers Rock, Ground and Ice type weakness.

Hex - High Power when used with Toxic/Will-O-Wisp, High Accuracy, STAB.
