I see him as a tank rather than a sweeper. So how about:

Swords dance- He can take a few hits while setting this up.

Amnesia/Earthquake-when he's weak, either start over again. Reversal won't work too well because of his low speed. he'd go down before landing a hit. Amnesia can boost up defenses. Earthquake is earthquake.

Aerial ace/revenge/Reversal-Aerial ace covers his weakness, revenge works with his low speed.

Facade/Double Edge/afro break-Afro break is the better choice, but facade can be fun to spam status with. Afro break has an afro, so it's awesome.

Good point with Reversal. I still would rather use him as a kamikaze, but Earthquake does seem better than Reversal now.
Kamikaze, tank, either way he's gonna kill stuff. :)
Still neverused though. There are much better Pokemon.
True. but he could be pretty useful in NU.
And what is the point of Afro Break? Same as Double-Edge. Maybe has a better recoil rate though...
Actually, you take more damage from afro break.
Than what is the point of it over Double-Edge?
It's an afro.
Oh wow...what a heated conversation squabble.....
afro break(head charge) is better than double edge.
You get less recoil damage

Bouffalant (M) @ Power Herb

Role: Tank

Trait: Sap Sipper

EVs: 96 HP / 92 Atk / 160 Def / 160 SDef

Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

  • Earthquake
  • Swords Dance
  • Skull Bash
  • Megahorn

1 Turn STAB Skull Bash hits super duper hard, Swords Dance makes it hit even harder, While Megahorn and Earthquake hit for Powerful Coverage.

I love this set I'm using it for PO :D
Skull Bash can be prejudicable, the oponent can switch to a ghost type and the attack will fail.

I thought this guy would evolve from Tauros, but it looks like that is not the case.

Ability: Reckless

EVs: Attack, Defense, HP Nature: Adament

Afro Break: Double-Edge pretty much. STAB+Reckless+120 base power.

Wild Bolt: For use with Reckless.

Reversal: This guy is going to have low HP after only one or two attacks, so this is a great move to use.

Megahorn: A powerful Bug type attack, use in case you don't want to damage yourself.

Same set as me.
Whats Good About Reckless? Doesnt That Take more Recoil Damage from you? Too Bad It Cant Have Rockhead

Ability: Sap Sipper
Stone Edge

Power Abuse-

Afro Break
Wild Charge
Mega Horn/Stone Edge

Dance Sweeper-
Ability: Sap Sipper/Reckless
Swords Dance
Return/Afro Break
Stone Edge/Wild Charge

Bouffalant (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Reckless
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

  • Head Charge
  • Wild Charge
  • Megahorn
  • Earthquake

Wild Charge and Head Charge make use of Reckless. Megahorn and Earthquake provide type coverage. The EVs allow you to make the most out of your recoil moves (and a tiny bit of protection put in towards priority.) Choice Band leaves you destroying foes.

Role: physical wall
Ability: reckless
- head charge
Powerful STAB
-wild charge
Bigger abuse of reckless
- Cotton guard
Physical wall
- earthquake
Good move

Can consider replacing wild charge with mega horn but might consider changing ability to sap supper if you use megahorn

Replace cotton guard. That move is usually useless, as just attacking is superior to using defensive moves.

Role Bulky vested physical sweeper

Ability: Reckless

EVs: 252atk, 252def, 4hp

Nature: Adamant

Item: Assault vest

Head charge: stab and 144 power thanks to ability

Wild charge: 108 power and coverage

Zen headbutt: Coverage

Megahorn/Earthquake: More coverage

In conclusion, while it may not be as good as Tauros, Its still a good Pokemon. It just has a weird design is all.

this is a bit of a fun set I thought ages ago you'd be better off using an assault vest set to be honest
Bouffalant @ Leftovers
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Def
Adamant Nature
- Skull Bash
- Amnesia
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Good set, but it would only be able to use Skull Bash if it had an Assault Vest

Item: Assault Vest
Ability: Reckless
Nature: Adamant (+Attack -Special Attack)
252 Attack 252 HP 4 Special Defense

A good bulky sweeper that often catches opponents off guard. It is also excellent at absorbing special attacks. Fighting types wreck it, though.

Head Charge
120 base power, plus STAB, plus reckless boost!

Wild Charge
Reckless boosted electric coverage.

Ground coverage that is useful against steel types (which resist your STAB).

Bug coverage that opponents often don't expect.

BULKY Soundproof set!

Buffy the Bouffalant
Rocky Helmet
Adamant (+ATT,-SPATT)

Skull Bash

This is a VERY different set I came up with a while ago. Soundproof makes it immune to sound moves that would otherwise go through its Substitute. Skull Bash and Amnesia raise its Defense and Special Defense, respectively. Bulldoze is for both coverage and lowering foes' Speed stats (so you can bulk yourself up before the next hit). Rocky Helmet is held to punish any physical attackers that hit Bouffalant while it's charging Skull Bash.
