Why won't my tynamo evolve, it's not holding a(n) everstone?

Two possiblities... It's not at the proper level (39 and above) or your pressing b when it starts evolving

Level it up to level 41. After tge battle where it levels up, It will begin to evolve. A t this time, DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING and after some animation you should receive the message "congratulations your tynamo has evolved into a eelektrik!" You will then have yourself an eelwktrik, which you may evolve at any time you wish with a thunderstone.
