If you have a good competitive moveset for Alomomola, post an answer below and upvote the best ones. Movesets for any of its pre-evolutions can also be shared on this thread.

Be sure to include full set details in your post, e.g. items, abilities, natures and EVs. Some explanation, including the intended game mode for your set, is also appreciated. Access the full list of guidelines here.

My Alomomola variant that I tried in my RU Team. Everything is pretty much standard except for one Move that makes it so devilish and hated.

Alomomola (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator / Healer
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Knock Off
- Wish
- Protect
- Toxic

Alomomola uses its stellar Defensive stats and its Ability to stall to utilize such a Moveset. Knock Off gets rid of the opponents Leftovers, Eviolite, Choice Scarf/Band/Specs and among other things, and chosen over Waterfall because it helps in stalling, and Waterfall won't do much anyways. Wish heals it and its Allies greatly, providing nice Team support. Protect allows you to not risk getting hit waiting for the Wish. Toxic also pairs well with Protect for nice stalling, while the opponent cannot hurt you. Regenerator or Healer as the Ability, take your pick.

Healer only works in Doubles, right?
Yep, I think so.
So isn't Regenerator the only useful ability?
Regenerator is the greatest thing on him :D
Yeah, but Healer can be for Doubles xD
Who plays RU Doubles? xD
Someone, lol!
Nice, but I wouldnt put protect or knock off on it. I'd put it on a team with a Hitmonlee that knows knock off and a Dusclops that knows protect.

Role: Double Battle Support

Alomomola (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Healer
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 SpD
Careful Nature
- Heal Pulse
- Wide Guard
- Wish
- Waterfall

Made for a Complete Double Battle support,

Heal Pulse Keeps alive the Sturdy Tanks you have out in the field, You can wish off a good bit of damage dealt to you, so you can keep suppporting others, And Wide Guard can even help toxic guard, and Surf damage.

Mist only covers against stat changes, not actual status if I'm not mistaken. Even if it did, you'd still lose the stats.

"Mist does not remove any stat modifiers already in effect, does not prevent the stat modifications associated with burns or paralysis, and does not prevent the user from successfully using stat modifiers. "
Well, I was mostly reffering to Burns and Parahax, but glad you pointed that out
They still receive the stat drop that comes with the status though.

Hmm, makes a nice physical wall in UU and RU.

Alomomola (F) @ Leftovers / Damp Rock
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 252 HP / 196 Def / 60 SpA
Bold Nature
- Rest
- Scald
- Rain Dance
- Toxic

Alright, I got this set from a friend, but he doesn't have an account here, so I'm posting for him.

The basic strategy is to start off with Rain Dance. Leftovers are usually better, but Damp Rock gives you a full 8 turns of rain, which most of the time works in your favor (unless they use Thunder.. but then again, why are you using a physical set against a special Pokemon?)

After Rain Dance, if you're trying to stall them out, go Toxic first . This usually works if they're a Fire Pokemon, because Rain Dance neutralizes their STAB, and they're immune to the burn from Scald.

For all the other Physical Pokemon, after Rain Dance, spam Scald. Eventually it will get the burn, which will help you survive hits even more.

And then, after everything is well and done, heal it off with a nice nap. Hydration will cure you of your sleep, unless the rain ends at the end of the turn you Rest.

Stalls, walls, team support, blah, blah, blah. Time for an attacking Alomomola.

Alomomola @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Knock Off
- Aqua Jet
- Wake-Up Slap / Facade

No one sees this coming. Probably because it's garbage.
But seriously, set-up sweepers coming in on this can switch in, only to take a powerful Knock Off to the face. Follow up with Waterfall, and finish with Aqua Jet. The last move is your preference: Wake-Up Slap for coverage and ResTalkers, or Facade to give a nasty surprise to those who Toxic you, burn you, etc. Also, Regenerator heals off LO damage.

National Dex UU Defensive Pivot

Alomomola @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Def / 216 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Toxic / Scald
- Wish
- Flip Turn
- Protect

Ah yes, Alomomola, the fish that is usually seen mostly on stall teams. However, Alomomola is no longer restricted to stall teams thanks to DLC allowing this fish to learn Flip Turn. Having Flip Turn allows Alomomola to be a defensive pivot on balance/(bulky) offense teams.

Toxic lets Alomomola put opposing Pokemon on a timer by badly posioning them, which can cripple them. If you use Toxic, then use this set in NatDex UU so you can have both Toxic and Flip Turn on the same set. Scald can be used to fish for burns to cripple physical wallbreakers such as Excadrill, Tyranitar/Mega Tyranitar, Buzzwole, and Iron Hands. If you use Scald, you can use this set in a Gen 9 format such as Monotype. Wish gives Alomomola recovery for itself and its teammates. With Flip Turn, Alomomola can bring in a teammate that is weakened without having to directly switching into that teammate, meaning Pokemon such as Ceruledge, Iron Hands, and Aegislash can be played more aggresively. And when Alomomola uses Flip Turn to bring in a Pokemon to restore HP with its Wish, it gets some recovery thanks to Regenerator. Protect lets Alomomola scout opposing Pokemon and can be used if Alomomola needs the Wish for itself. Heavy-Duty Boots is used for the item to prevent Alomomola from being chipped by hazards.

The reason Alomomola's EV spread is 40 HP / 252 Def / 216 SpD is because Alomomola already has a high HP stat, so the EV spread in the set is how Alomomola maximizes its bulk. Even without 252 HP, Alomomola can still pass those fat Wishes to its teammates. This set uses Relaxed Nature and 0 Speed IVs to make Alomomola as slow as possible so it can use a slow Flip Turn to bring in a teammate, which is useful if you're trying to heal up a weakened teammate.

So, ummm, yeah. Have fun using this fish with Flip Turn!
