I want to know- will there be updates to X&Y over time to add Pokemon and items?

if they came up with the patch for lumiose, and even the cards respond, does this mean it is plausible that the X&Y games will be alterable over time, possibly to create a platform where updates bring new areas to explore? similar to going to birth island- that data was obtained, and then the island became explorable....

No way to know w/out asking Game Freak. We'll just have to wait and see.

I'm pretty sure there will be! There are rumors around the internet about 3 new legendary Pokemon: Diance - Rock/Fairy, Hoopla - Psychic/Ghost and Volcanion - Fire/Water.

People are already asking for them on the GTS!
