My Sylveon:
Item: Pixie Plate (Boosts Fairy moves+30% Power Boost)
Ability: Pixilate (Normal moves -> Fairy moves)
Moves:
Moonblast: Good power, good accuracy, STAB
Hyper Beam: Pixilate+150 base power+30% Power Boost+STAB+Pixie Plate=Dragon Slayer
Dig: Covers your weaknesses: Poison/Steel
Light Screen: Adds a bit more Sp. Defense for 5 turns

Other Helpful Moves:
Calm Mind: Boosts Both Sp. Attack & Sp. Defense
Substitute: Good for Sylveon w/ High HP
Double-Edge: Less risky than Hyper Beam & another Pixilated powerhouse of an attack! (Does recoil and is a Physical attack , however)
Last Resort: Again, great move for Pixilated Sylveon
Rest: To keep the battle going (For this one, perhaps you could replace Sylveon's Pixie Plate with a Chesto Berry. Also, it is easier to obtain than Wish since it's a TM)
Draining Kiss: Heals while dealing damage!
Swift: Never-missing Pixilated attack. Good for finishing off foes.

Moonblast is good STAB. It all goes downhill from there. You obviously haven't played competitive much before. Hyper Beam is terrible. Just terrible. The turn for recharging gives your opponent a chance to do anything they want. Even if you took out a threat, a sweeper could come and setup all over you and proceed to sweep the rest of your team. Dig is also bad for two reasons. 1. Because it is a physical move and Sylveon has bad attack stat. 2. It is a two-turn move. The opponent could easily switch into a flying/levitating pokemon.
Double Edge is a physical move. Pixie Plate boosts fairy type moves by 20%.

Sylveon is the newest out of the Eeveelution bunch and new type and yeah yeah...Sylveon isnt my most favorite other than it being my 2nd favorite fairy type while the other being Xerneas (Bambi's mom) but anyway on to the moveset part.

Sylveon
Item: Quick Claw (to help you attack first)
Ability: Cute Charm
Nature: Modest,Calm -Bold.-
EVs: 252 Sp.Atk, 252 Sp.Def and 4 HP
Moveset:
-Moon Blast
-Hidden Power (Steel)
-Calm Mind
-Baton Pass

Moonblast will gain STAB and has great power, With this hidden power (if you got the right sylveon) you have great coverage, Calm Mind powers up Sp.Atk and Sp.Def so keep useing it to make Moon Blast and Hidden Power Steel and great bulk plus you can baton pass it, With Cute Charm you can cripple your foes (if they are the opposite gender of sylveon) wich will give you sometimes a chance to use power ups and with Modest your two offensive moves will be powered up or if you use Calm you get a bit bulkier with Sp.def and if you really want your defense boost then have no fear Bold is here

Sylveon (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Cute Charm
Evs: 252 Special Attack, 252 Special Defense, 4 Speed
Modest Nature

I use a Cute Charm Sylveon instead of Pixilate because I think it's better to have something to cripple Physical Attackers rather than to have a tiny bit more power over Moonblast.

Here are her moves:

Calm Mind
To boost its highest stats even further (No need for Hyper Voice and Pixilate)

Psyshock
To get an advantage against Poison Pokémon and be able to deal Physical damage

Shadow Ball
For coverage

Moonblast
STAB

Vampiric Defender

Vampiric Defender Sylveon
Item : Pixie Plate or Rocky Helm
Ability- Cute Charm
Nature - Bold
Train for Defense and Sp. Attack

Wish
Light Screen. ( or Reflect)
Draining Kiss
Shadow Ball

At 1st glance this set may seem odd or not so useful, it takes some mastering but believe in the power of Sylveon's Drain Kiss! And why I call this the Vampiric Defender Sylveon. Speed is a lost cause on Sylveon so embrace the slow . Bold Nature is what you want and prioritize boosting Def 1st to compliment Sylveons good Sp. Def, and. Secondly put the rest into Sylveons already good Sp. Attack. Wish is always a great option obviously, Light Screen or Reflect based on which your party benefits better from. Next is the core of this moveset. The item Pixie Plate boosts Fairy moves and with Stab and Sylveons strong Sp. Atk - Drain kiss hits for a very heavy 100 base damage and you recover a high 75% HEALTH based off damage dealt. This should keep your slow Sylveon in the fight much longer. Shadow Ball takes advantage of Sylveons high Sp. Atk and Drain Kiss this makes Sylveon great against the Psychic/Ghost/Dark trio and obviously those pesky Dragons and Fighting types. Alternatively, rocky helm combined with cute charm should make things interesting for physical attackers, although still best to keep Sylveon in the back during prolonged fights against physical teams, and I strongly prefer Pixie Plate as a item. This sylveon fills a crucial role in my party and may just work extremely well for me, it was kjnda experimental and was very successful for me.

Sylveon @ Choice Specs

-Hyper Voice. (good power and hits both opponents in double battles)
-Shadow Ball. (gets rid of psychic and other ghost)

-Hidden Power Fire. (gets rid of steel, grass, ice and bug)

The Vampire

Honestly, I love Sylveon because of its bulk. This is one of my favorite sets to run, and while Sylveon's speed can be its downfall. I feel like this set could work really well with different EV combos, too, depeding on your own play style.

enter image description here

Sylveon (F) @ Big Root
Ability: Pixelate
EVs: 252 HP, 126 Def, 4 SpDef, 126 Spd OR 252 SpAtk, 252 Spd depending on play style
Nature: Modest (+ SpAtk -Atk)
- Hyper Voice
- Draining Kiss (restores 75% of damage done + an extra 30% from holding Big Root)
- Calm Mind
- Substitute

Hyper Voice should come standard with Sylveon. You can bypass other Sub users, which is a must because it's likely they're going to use that to set up (just like with this set). Draining Kiss is going to be your key recovery move here. After a few Calm Minds, you're going to regain a LOT of health to keep fueling your Substitutes. Calm Mind is self explanatory. Boost your SpAtk and SpDef to soak up more special attacks. Substitute makes for great stalling and a good set up buffer--just be wary of your standard speed status leads, like Furfrou.

Obviously not prioritizing Def makes you weaker to physical hitters, so it's up to you to decide if you want to try and outspeed (good luck) or outlast. When I first got this girl, she had the second set of EVs. She was decent, but couldn't take a hit from Fighting types. After retraining her, she's a hell of a wall.

If you've got any tips on how to improve this set, comment and let me know! This is my first real set, so I'd love to learn more.

Invincible Sweeper Sylveon

Sylveon (F) @ Whatever will increase damage or Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Defence and rest Sp.Atk (In that order)
Nature: Doesn't matter
Moves:

  • MoonBlast (STAB)

  • Giga Impact (Fairy Type+Pixeilate+Atk Increase+Damage increasing item=Death to Dragons)

  • Dig (To cover Poison+Steel types)

  • Wish (So Sylveon will heal regularly and not be taken down so easy against Poison+Steel Types or REALLY powerful competitive Pokemon)

How can you say nature doesn't matter? If you run a Modest nature with this set there goes the entire point of running a physical set.

Sylveon (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate

EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD

- Toxic
- Shadow Ball
- Trump Card

Ability - Cute Charm
Item - Pixie Plate
Fairy Pokemon are more effective if they use Fairy moves. This is the one exception to that rule. Eevee is a Pokemon that can evolve into many different Pokemon with different types. That means there are a lot of moves available to teach. In the case of Sylveon it has a high Sp. Def. that you can use to your advantage. I say make it an attack dog.

Giga Impact 5/5 - Normal (if your about to faint)
Moonblast 15/15 - Fairy (lowers the target's Sp Atk. + already high Sp Def = Not Today)
Dazzling Gleam 10/10 - Fairy (It hits every thing and at a high enough level its a "One Hit TKO")
Rest 10/10 - Psychic (No more potions)
3 of these moves will be learned by level 43 the last one Giga Impact is TM68. Its 90,000 at Kiloude City Poke Center.

If you have hopes of using it as one of your 6. you'll want it at 70+ or the E4 will slap it a way. I would only recommend using Sylveon if your going for an "Eevee Win" other wise there are much better Pokemon out there you can use.

Sylveon @ Weaknesses Policy
Ability: Pixilate
Evs: 252 Hp / 252 Def / 6 SpA
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

-Heal Bell
-Psyshock/Stored Power
-Calm Mind
-Hyper Voice

Explanation: This is more of a Doubles Set than a Single Set. Weakness Policy raises Attack and Special Attack by 2 stages when hit by a Super Effective move. Heal Bell cures the status Conditions of all the Pokemon in your inventory. Psyshock or Stored Power is Your choise of Poison Type coverage. Psyshock is used to hit Special Walls like Blissey and Mantine or Stored Power stacks with the Stat Boosts from Weakness Policy and Calm Mind. Calm Mind raises Special Attack and Special Defense by 1 stage each and it stacks with Stored Power. Hyper Voice is STAB with Pixilate and can hit Multiple foes in Double Battles and Battle Royals/Triple Battles.

Sylveon (F) @Life Orb or Assault Vest
Ability-Pixielate
EV-Sp.Def 252, Hp 129, Sp.Atk 129
Nature- Modest
-Dazzling Gleam
-Shadow Ball
-Physhock (If Life Orb)/Hyper Voice (If Assault Vest)
-Trump Card(If Assault Vest)/Toxic (If Life Orb)/Calm Mind (Instead of Toxic)

Dazzling Gleam because STAB and very useful in double/triple battles
Shadow Ball because good type coverage and power
Physhock because just blast people with intergalactic power if you know what I mean
Hyper Voice because STAB and can be useful again in double/triple battles and also who doesn't want to kill a dragon by shouting at it
Trump Card because in double battles + ally with spite = POWER
Toxic because you can do switch in switch out combo or just tank hits
Calm Mind because power + defence = TANK

Sylveon @Pixie Plate / Life Orb

Ability: Cute Charm
EV's: 252 Def, 252 Speed, 4 Sp. Def
Nature: Serious (Neutral nature.)

  • Draining Kiss (Drain the foe's HP, STAB)

  • Moonblast (STAB, Powerful move)

  • Shadow Ball (Chance to lower foe's Sp. Def )

  • Calm Mind / Reflect / Light Screen (If you want to be annoying, go for calm mind. If you want to defend against attacks, go for Light Screen or Reflect)

Sylveon can be annoying sometimes with the Calm Mind, But if you want to get some defenses up, I'd higly suggest to use Reflect or Light Screen.
Sincerely, Chocolate. :3

Why a Serious Nature when you can use a Modest Nature or a Bold Nature? :/

Just so you know, this Sylveon is the one my friend gave me, and it's EPIC.
[email protected] Specs
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 Sp. Atk. / 252 Sp. Def.
Nature: Bold(Atk.,+Def.)
Moves:
Hyper Voice
Shadow Ball
Psyshock
Baton Pass
Here's the fun part. Start spamming Hyper Voice. STAB, Choice Spces, and Pixilate give it a stunning 1.5x1.5x1.3 power!
Now Hyper Voice deals 263.25 damage!

Sylveon @ Fairium Z
Nature: Bashful
Ability: Cute Charm

Draining Kiss
Moonblast
Skill Swap
Psyshock

Reasonings:
Draining Kiss: Great healing, partly STAB
Moonblast: STAB, mostly.
Skill Swap: In case I know my enemy's ability would be useful for me.
Psyshock: Covers Poison weakness. For Steel I can use Kartana :)

My Sylveon is at max affection in Pokemon Refresh, so that makes it a whole lot better.

Sylveon (F) @ Metronome
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Echoed Voice
- Psyshock
- Shadow Ball
- Calm Mind

Echoed Voice with Pixilate and Metronome is a great combination because Pixilate gives a 20% increase to Echoed Voice and a 50% boost from STAB because its now a Fairy-type move and every turn its base power increases by 40 base power because that's how Echoed Voice works and a 20% increase every turn because of Metronome. Although Echoed Voice could easily be shut down by Soundproof or disabling moves and abilities such as Disable and Cursed Body. (BTW the bonuses may not actually add up the way I said they do, so be cautious.)

Psyshock is an obvious choice as it provides coverage for Poison-type Pokemon but of course not all Pokemon that learn Poison-type moves have to be Poison-type. Also, Psyshock is good if you are battling a Pokemon with extremely high Special Defense and low Defense like Florges and Goodra (Although Echoed Voice might just be as good in this situation as long as it has received enough of a boost from its passive effect and the Metronome).

Shadow Ball is used in most Sylveon builds so why not?

Calm Mind because having the increased Special Attack means that if you have to switch and use a different move because Echoed Voice was shut down by stuff mentioned earlier, you can do more damage then you normally would.

Now I only use this build because I don't have access to Hyper Voice because I only have Moon but that doesn't matter, use this build if you want, I just wanted to share something I use with the rest of the world.

Sylveon @ Leftovers

Nature: Modest

252 HP 252 SpA 4 Spd

Ability: Cute Charm

  • Calm Mind
  • MoonBlast
  • Hidden Power Ground
  • Psyshock

How to use this set

So, first you set up a few Calm Minds. That's what the 4 Spd is for. The Cute Charm is because genders on Showdown is random. And we have no Normal moves. Sucks to have a ability that does literally nothing. HP Ground is super effective against that resists Fairy. Psyshock is for the Special Walls. And Moonblast is better than Dazzling Gleam + the possible Special Defense drop. That's all you need to know about it.

Sylveon attack spammer set

Item: Pixie plate (Powers up fairy-type moves)
Nature: doesnt really matter with this set
Ability: Cute Charm (makes him more defensive)

Moonblast (Sweeper move)
Draining kiss (heals 75% of the damage dealt)
Swift (Gets rid of poisen and fire types and never misses)
Dazzling gleam (does a crap load of damage and hits both enemies in double battles)

Sylveon is pretty strong with special attack, so Moonblast is nice to use.
Draining kiss gives alot of health back, and is for some reason a special attack.
Swift can cover up the not-very-effectives on poisen and fire and never misses.
Dazzling gleam does alot of damage and hits both targets. spam it in Battle maison double battle mode, and you destory evrything.

Pixie plate makes fairy moves even more powerful.
For cute charm to work, you have to get a melee on Sylveon first, and then it fas in love and has a low chance of actually attacking. also deals with melee moves.

Doesn't matter? Modest guys...you know what nature is right?
The nature matters because what if you have a adamant one with that moveset
3 Fairy Type moves and a Normal type move? A Steel type can Wall this set.I 'd go with Moonblast, Psyshock, Calm Mind and Hidden Power Fire or Ground
HP Ground is better, as it covers Fire, Steel, and Poison.
So many mistakes on this answer...
SWIFT is a NORMAL type move,it doesn't cover Poison types, Swift is a normal type move so it does neutral damage on poison.
'Nature doesn't matter' Nature always matters, lets say you have this set and you have a adamant nature Adamant lowers Sp.Atk and Raises Atk, AND this moveset is a special set... A nature on a pokemon is always important, my dude.
