If you have a good competitive moveset for Mimikyu, post an answer below and upvote the best ones. Movesets for its pre-evolutions, if any, can also be shared on this thread.

Be sure to include full set details in your post, e.g. items, abilities, natures and EVs. Some detail, including the intended game mode for your set, is also appreciated. Access the full list of guidelines here.

Mimikyu Pokédex and learnset for reference.

Whoever voted down MovesetBot, please do not do that.
I wonder if someone will post a Z-Splash meme set.
There was a Z splash set at Solgaleo's question.
Where did my answer go?

Special Mimikyu

Mimikyu @ Choice Specs
Ability: Disguise
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Dazzling Gleam
- Psychic / Giga Drain / Hidden Power [Fire]
- Thunderbolt

Choice Specs boost your Special Attack. Shadow Ball and Dazzling Gleam are STAB. Psychic, Giga Drain, HP Fire, and Thunderbolt are coverage. Psychic only hits Poison-types and a few specific Pokémon for extra damage, so Giga Drain or HP Fire can be used to have more overall coverage.

I like it!

EVs: 252 Speed, 252 Attack/Defense
Nature: Jolly
Item: Focus Sash/Leftovers

Psych Up
Play Rough
Shadow Claw/Leech Life/Will-O-Wisp

How this works is you use Swagger first turn and hopefully outspeed the opponent, which is why you need max speed investment. Swagger would've confused the opponents and raised their attack. Now use Psych Up to copy the opponent's raised attack. Now, you can use Will-O-Wisp to burn them so the boost is no longer dangerous or just attack using the moves above. Focus Sash is recommended over Leftovers for extra longevity but leftovers may be useful paired with Leech Life. This set is incredibly unpredictable and you can easily take your opponent by surprise, but it is based a little on luck because of hitting through confusion, but that's why I recommend using the Focus Sash for more turns to attack.

[email protected] Orb
Nature:Jolly(+Spe -Sp.Atk)
IVs:31 Atk/31 Sp.Def/31 Spd
EVs:252 Atk/148 Sp.Def/108 Spe
Nickname-Notebook Doodle(If it fits)
Swords Dance-Attack Raise
Play Rough-Accuracy boosted to 100% by Hone Claws-STAB
Shadow Sneak-STAB-Works Better with Swords Dance
Will-O-Wisp-Cripples Walls such as Mega Scizor or Ferrothorn-Both pretty common in the OU tier.

[email protected] Orb
Nature:Modest(+Sp.Atk -Atk)
IVs:31 Sp.Atk/31 HP/31 Spe
EVs:252 Sp.Atk/148 HP/108 SpD
Nickname-Notebook Doodle/Doodle
Charge Beam-Raises Sp.Atk While doing damage.
Will-O-Wisp-Cripples Ferrothron and Mega Scizor
Shadow Ball-STAB
Dazzling Gleam-STAB

So For the psychical Set you can run drain Punch, but everything is essential, maybe get rid of will-o-wisp. But psychical Mimikyu is pretty straight forward.
Burn the Target(if they are a psychical attacker then... GREAT!)
Swords Dance Up
Try to Sweep, get some speed investment.

So Special Mimikyu...
Burn the target-YAY-STATUS EFFECTS!
Charge beam a few times.
Right now you should be sitting at +3 or +4 Sp.Atk, if you aren’t then... BRUH
Sweep with Dazzling Gleam, Problem is Poison types, but poison types aren’t to common in OU so you should be good.

-Swords Dance/Bulk Up (1st turn use)
-Drain Punch (health/coverage)
-Play Rough (STAB)
-Shadow Claw (STAB)

If you want an all-out attacker...
Item: Kasib Berry/Mimikium Z

-Shadow Ball
-Play Rough/X-Scissor
-Thunder/Wood Hammer

where bold type is only available with some moves

Jar Jar wanted this, pretty much everone wants this:

Mimikyu @ Normalium-Z
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Disguise
EVs: 252 Atk 252 Spe 4 HP

Play rough
Shadow sneak
Drain punch

This set is the mother of trolls. Disguise lets you have a free set up with Z-splash which makes this thing OP. If the opponent's Pokémon is faster, Shadow sneak should deal with them. Normal types are dealt with Drain punch. If a ghost type comes in, Shadow sneak. If a normal type comes in, Mimikyu should be able to tank 1 hit and the heal up with drain punch. Then there's Play rough...the name says it all.

Hope you like :)

Mimikyu @ Focus Sash
Ability: Disguise
Level: 1
EVs: 36 Def / 236 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Destiny Bond
- Taunt
- Trick Room
- Shadow Sneak
Another F.E.A.R set. First turn it gets up trick room. Then, it can taunt and survive on sash. Then you die and let them die too from destiny bond. Fails against priority, multi hit moves, switching, and GEN 8. Gen 8 cause disguise got the -1/8 hp after broken disguise nerf
