Smogon is the official home of Showdown!, so you might wanna try there. There will be resources for every tier.
no one seems to have added about CAP, it stands for Create A Pokémon and is basically just original fan made Pokémon
can anyone create one?
I think there are approval processes and such, but as far as I know you are free to play the metagame with the pokemon they have
CAP was in my answer.
oh sorry I'm blind
what's cross evolution tho? it's an OM of the month, wich explains why it's not in these answers, but I'd like to know.

If you have any more questions about OMs, just type "/om (name of Other Metagame)" on a Showdown! chatroom.

There are a lot of formats that are only playable for a month at a time, so I don't know all of them. If you want a list of those, then just tell me and I'll hide my answer.

Singles

Random Battle: Players are given random (usually fully evolved) Pokemon with reasonably good movesets. The lower tier Pokemon come at higher levels.

Unrated Random Battle: Same as Randoms, but battles have no effect on rating.

Over Used: Pokemon, moves, and abilities can be banned by Smogon's tiering policy. The bans traditionally include most box art legendaries.

Under Used, Rarely Used, Never Used, and PU: Pokemon with more than 1-(1/2)^(1/15), or about 4.5%, usage in the above tier are banned, as well as some Pokemon that don't make the usage cutoff but are still deemed "broken".

Uber: All Pokemon species are allowed, and the bans on moves and abilities less restrictive.

Little Cup: The maximum level is 5. All evolved and fully evolved Pokemon, as well as the ones deemed "broken", are banned.

Anything Goes: Everything that can be achieved without cheating is allowed. The only exception is endless battles. In gen 8, this format also allows all Pokemon, moves, and items that exist in gen 7.

Create-a-Pokemon: Everything allowed in OU, as well as stuff made by Smogon's Create-a-Pokemon project, is allowed.

Battle Spot Singles: Each player enters up to 6 Pokemon, looks at the opponent's 6 Pokemon, and chooses 3 to use in battle. All Pokemon above level 50 will be set to level 50 for the battle. Box art legendaries and event-exclusive stuff are banned.

Doubles

Random Double Battle: Players are given random (usually fully evolved) Pokemon with reasonably good movesets. The lower tier Pokemon come at higher levels.

Doubles Over Used: Pokemon, moves, and abilities deemed "broken" are banned. The bans traditionally include most box art legendaries.

Doubles Under Used: Pokemon with more than 1-(1/2)^(1/20), or about 3.4%, usage in OU are banned, as well as some Pokemon that don't make the usage cutoff but are still deemed "broken".

Doubles Uber: Almost all Pokemon are allowed, and the bans on moves and abilities less restrictive.

Battle Spot Doubles: Each player enters up to 6 Pokemon, looks at the opponent's 6 Pokemon, and chooses 4 to use in battle. All Pokemon above level 50 will be set to level 50 for the battle. Box art legendaries and event-exclusive stuff are banned.

Video Game Championships: Each player enters up to 6 Pokemon, looks at the opponent's 6 Pokemon, and chooses 4 to use in battle. All Pokemon above level 50 will be set to level 50 for the battle. All Pokemon must be on the Alolan Pokedex. Legendaries and event-exclusive stuff are banned.

Other Metagames with permanent ladders (all of these are Smogon formats, so they all ban "broken" stuff)

Balanced Hackmons: Pokemon can have almost any moves and ability, and can be mega evolved without having a mega stone or having to mega evolve.

1v1: Each player enters up to 3 Pokemon, looks at the opponent's 3 Pokemon, and chooses one to use in battle.

Monotype: All Pokemon on each team must share at least one type.

Mix and Mega: Any Pokemon can mega evolve or primal revert using any mega stone or orb, and they gain the stat changes, abilities, and type changes associated with the mega stone or orb. The one mega evolution limit is lifted.

Almost Any Ability: Pokemon can have abilities that are normally illegal.

Sketchmons: Each Pokemon can know up to one move that's normally illegal.

Randomized Other Metagames

Battle Spot Singles Factory: Each player gets 6 random Pokemon with movesets that are viable in BSS.

Challenge Cup 1v1: Each player gets 6 random Pokemon with random but legal moves, abilities, and items, looks at the opponent's 6 Pokemon, and chooses one to use in battle.
Hackmons Cup: Each player gets 6 random Pokemon with completely random moves, abilities, and items.

Formats with no permanent ladders

Create-a-Pokemon Little Cup: Same as LC but the pre-evolved forms of Pokemon created by Smogon's Create-a-Pokemon project are also allowed.

Custom Game: Pokemon can have any moves and abilities, know up to 24 moves, and be up to level 9999.

Doubles Custom Game: Pokemon can have any moves and abilities, know up to 24 moves, and be up to level 9999.

Hidden Type: All Pokemon have an additional type that's determined by IVs, unless the type given by the IVs is the same as a type the Pokemon already has. Pokemon deemed "broken" are banned.

Balanced Hackmons Doubles: Pokemon can have almost any moves and ability, and can be mega evolved without having a mega stone or having to mega evolve.

Monotype Random Battle: Same as Randoms, but all Pokemon on each team share a type.

Doubles Hackmons Cup: Each player gets 6 random Pokemon with completely random moves, abilities, and items.

sumwun will probably still have a better answer, but I will just shorten it down a little and make it a little more organised.

  • The lowest tier is LC, which stands for Little Cup. It contains first-evolution Pokemon that are level 5. The clauses are no Pokemon that are evolved, every Pokemon is level 5 or less, you cannot use Swagger, only one Pokemon can be asleep at a time, you can only have one of each Pokemon, OHKO moves are banned, you cannot force endless battles (e.g. two Wobbofets with Shadow Tag), no evasion boosting moves, you cannot use the ability Moody, and no hacked items/Pokemon

  • The net highest tier is PU, standing for partially used. They are the least used Pokemon from all the tiers (excluding LC). The rules are that you have to use Pokemon in your tier, you only have one Pokemon sleep at a time, only one of each Pokemon, no OHKO moves, Moody is banned, you can only have one Pokemon with Baton Pass and it cannot pass Speed with any other stats, no Swagger, no endless battles, and no evasion boosting moves.

  • The next highest tier is NU, standing for Never Used. They are Pokemon used more than PU Pokemon, but still not that much. You can only use Pokemon in your tier, only one Pokemon can be asleep at a time, only one of each Pokemon, the ability Moody is banned, evasion boosting moves are banned, you cannot force endless battles, you can only have one Pokemon with Baton Pass that can pass any stat (but speed if there are other stat boosts), and you cannot use Swagger.

  • The next tier up is RU, or Rarely Used. The Pokemon in here are used more than the ones in NU/PU, but not as much as UU (the next tier). You can only put one Pokemon to sleep at a time, you can only have one of each species, you cannot have Moody, OHKO moves are banned, you cannot force endless battles, evasion boosting moves are banned, and you can only have one Pokemon with Baton Pass and cannot pass speed boosts with other stats.

  • The next tier up is UU, or under used. It consists of Pokemon that are not used as often as in OU (next tier up). Only one Pokemon can be asleep at a time, only one of each Pokemon, OHKO moves are banned, only one Pokemon can have Baton Pass and it cannot pass speed boosts with other stats, evasion raising moves are banned, the ability Moody is banned, and you cannot force endless battled.

  • The next tier up is OU, or Over Used. They are the most used Pokemon that are not in Ubers.

  • The next tier up is Ubers. They contain Pokemon that are too strong for OU. You cannot use Swagger, you cannot mega evolve Rayquaza, you can only put one Pokemon to sleep at a time, limit one of each Pokémon, OHKO moves are banned, Moody is banned, evasion moves are banned, and forcing endless battles is banned.

  • The highest tier is AG, short for Anything Goes. It is a tier made especially for Mega-Rayquaza. The only rules are that you cannot force endless battles and no hacked items/Pokemon.

This is just for the main tiers, if you want me to add Meta games, I will add them.

pls add metagames, the ones like CAP and mix and mega, and sketchmons....
almost any ablity...
cross evolution....
i find dem so confusing!
There are lots of them. Just go on Showdown!, type "/om (name of OM)" in the chat, and click the link.
Btw LC isn't 'the lowest tier'. It's not based from usage unlike the others, it's a separate metagame, like monotype
you spelt main wrong. it looks like some sort of crazy teir sexism, were only males can use the included teirs because you spelt it man, lol
also, you deserve BA, but sumwun deserves it more for giving the metagames.
