Is it possible to soft reset the mirage spot you're given at the start of every day?

I've been looking for a Razor Fang for around a week now, and the only way to find it is on a Mirage Island by using the Dowsing Machine. However, A: it only has a 30% chance of appearing on a Mirage Island, which itself has a roughly 1 out of 4 of appearing on the map, so my odds are not great, and B: it can only be found on the mirage spot you're given at the start of every day, and as such, none of the mirage spots you find through StreetPass/PSS/BuzzNav will ever have it. So I want to know if I can soft reset the mirage spot I get at the start of each day for a Razor Fang, to save myself the time and disappointment of finding it normally.
