If you have a good moveset for Clefable, post an answer below and upvote the best ones. Remember, this is for competitive movesets, not in-game. Ability, EVs etc should be included, and we encourage sets for VGC doubles as well as singles. Make sure to read all the guidelines here.

Clefable

Clefable

Item

  • Leftovers

Ability

  • Magic Guard/Cute Charm

Magic Guard Prevents all damage except from direct attacks.
Cute Charm If an opponent of the opposite gender directly attacks this Pokemon, there is a 30% chance that the opponent will become Attracted to this Pokemon.
[Field Effect] If this Pokemon is in the lead spot, the rate of wild Pokemon of the opposite gender appearing increases to 66.7%.

So if you just want to stop the opposite gender of a Pokemon to stop lowering your health you have Cute Charm. Otherwise if you want to stop Pokemon to stop lowering your stats Magic Guard.

Move Set

  • Sing
  • Thunderbolt
  • Metronome
  • Cosmic Power

Sing - A soothing lullaby is sung in a calming voice that puts the target into a deep slumber.
Thunderbolt - A strong electric blast is loosed at the target. It may also leave the target with paralysis.
Metronome - The user waggles a finger and stimulates its brain into randomly using nearly any move.
Cosmic Power - The user absorbs a mystical power from space to raise its Defense and Sp. Def stats.

>Sing to use cosmic power without being attacked & great for getting the job done quicker
>Thunderbolt good coverage
>Metronome just a good move because anything could happen (1 hit K.O. moves!!!)
>Cosmic Power a great move to not get too much damage done (use sing first!!!)

SO all of those moves and ability and the item make a great Pokemon! You will never be beaten!
By the way I copied all of this from the GameFreak guy with the Clefable. (He took out 5 of my Pokemon!! Then left my last Pokemon with 1/3 health!!!)

Okay, metronome is one of the worst competitive moves behind splash and memento. Instead, minimize would work well, going with the whole tank aspect. other than that,  great Moveset (btw, unaware works wells defensively for Swords dancers or calm minders, and offensively against tanks.)
Also, sing is not very good because of 55 accuracy

Magic (Clefable) @ Leftovers(Preferably Shiny so it looks like Magic :P)
Trait: Magic Guard
EV's: 252 HP, 252 Sp. Atk, 4 Speed
Modest Nature (+Sp Atk, - Atk)
Role: Troll Sweeper
-Minimize/Calm Mind
-Flamethrower
-Ice Beam/Moonblast
-Thunderbolt/Psychic
Minimize/Calm Mind are the "troll" part of Troll Sweeper. Minimize makes it so attacks can't hit it(mostly-I'm looking at you, Aerial Ace), and Calm Mind boosts Sp Atk/Sp Def, making your attacks hit harder, and granting some protection as well. Flamethrower is a must, it covers annoying steel types that resist Moonblast/Psychic/Ice Beam. Ice Beam + Thunderbolt = the BoltBeam combo, hitting almost everything for neutral/super effective coverage. Psychic/Moonblast is a STAB + Psychic, which lowers Sp Def, making your attacks do more damage. This Pokemon is extremely annoying, with Magic Guard protecting you from Toxic/Spikes etc, and Minimize protecting you from 95% of everything else. I love Minimize/T-Bolt/Ice Beam/Flamethrower, because they all have decent power(except Minimize) and 100% accuracy, which is useful. This is nearly unstoppable. Enjoy winning!

Clefable (F) @ Leftovers/Life Orb
![enter image description here][1]
[1]: http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/175/9/8/clefable_by_sageraziel-d3jwqoz.gif
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 Sp Atk
Nature: Bold (+Def, -Atk)
- Moonlight
- Moonblast
- Flamethrower
- Calm mind

This set makes Clefable not only a bulky pivot, but a decent special attacker after a couple of Calm Mind boosts. With maximum defense investment and a decent Special Defense stat even without investment, Clefable can find many chances to set up multiple Calm Minds and use Moonlight to shrug off any previous damage. A life orb can be used if Clefable is filling an offensive role, but leftovers give it more longevity.

Okay Check this one out:
Clefable @ Life Orb
Trait: Magic Guard
EV's : focus more on HP and Sp. Attack and spread the rest to Def, and Sp. Def
Modest nature
-Flamethrower (Covers steel types and kills of grass Pokemon that leech seed.)
-Protect(Gotta Be safe) or Psychic to cover Poison weakness.
-Moonblast/Dazzling gleam (Kill off a single or mutliple dragon, fighting, and dark Pokemon.)
-Protect, Cosmic power, minimize or Softboiled
*Pair Clefable with a Pokémon that knows drought or sunny day to power up flamethrower. You may also pair with a Pokemon that knows Prankster or Gale Wings so that it can use reflect, light screen, and tailwind.

Name: Clefable
Item: Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 SpD/ 4 SpA
Nature: Sassy

Moveset:
-Moonblast/Dazzling Gleam/Stored Power
-Soft-Boiled/Moonlight/Heal Bell
-Minimize/Double Team (Minimize is better)
-Cosmic Power/Amnesia/Calm Mind

I Used this and Clefable is untouchable I use minimize to max evasion, then Cosmic Power to max Defense and Special Defense and then Soft-Boiled if needed and people just quit cause they cant touch him/her and Moonblast because it is a strong fairy move and everyone uses Dragon types. Stored Power is good to because when you max evasion and defense and special defense you can destroy.

nature: modest
ability: cute charm ( just to be annoying )
iv's: 252 sdef, 252 def, and 4 HP/satk
moveset:
minimize
cosmic power
fallow me
dazzling gleam
item: sitrus berry
its basically a wall that can't get hit and if it does its going to take the hit it works great in double battles so well hope this helps :)

So... I know I'm a bit late but this is what I use:
Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 84 Def / 84 SpA / 40 SpD / 48 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast- Stab, Strong move
- Soft-Boiled/Moonlight- Recovery
- Calm Mind- Good move, helps you sweep, also helps you become more defensive.
- Flamethrower- Coverage for those pesky Steel types!
This is my first Moveset, I hope you guys like it!

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
Nature: Bold(+Defense, -Attack)
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Defense / 4 Special Defense
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Flamethrower
- Moonlight / Soft-Boiled

*Use Moonlight if you don't have access to Soft-Boiled

Note that Soft-Boiled is a gen 3 transfer move, meaning that not only would transferring a clefable from gen 3 to 6 make it unavailable competitively, due to it not being bred inside gen 6, but it would also be very difficult to pull off.
I feel like Focus Blast could be a better move than flamethrower, yes, the accuracy is bad, but, flamethrower can't counter that many things

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability : Magic Guard
Role : Annoying Toxic staller
EVs : 4 HP/ 252 Def/ 252 Sp. Def

Moves :
1. Toxic
2. Cosmic Power
3. Stored Power
4. Minimize

Strategy : Minimize 3 times for maxed out Evasiveness. Then, either toxic the opponent or perform 6x Cosmic powers for maxed defenses. Proceed to Toxic enemies (if not already done) and then spam Stored Power (which now has a whopping 360 base power). Hopefully this moveset is gonna come in handy. Also, beware of Metagross, as it can 1 shot you if you haven't completed the set-up.

how about a clefabel with

252 de / 252 spd / 4 hp

flamethrower [ steel coverage]
calm mind
moonlight

item leftovers [ exstra heath]

what do you think???

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature

  • Moonblast - STAB & 95 power

  • Cosmic Power - a good setup before you start minimizing

  • Calm Mind - raise sp. attack & sp. defense

  • Minimize - every move they throw at you misses :)

So the reason I chose a bold nature, is so you can withstand physical steel attacks. You don't really need to worry about Flash Cannon because of Cosmic Power and Calm Mind. Same thing with poison, too. Its ability 'Magic Guard' is great when your facing a toxic stall Pokemon, so it wouldn't matter if you got burned or poisoned, because it wouldn't affect you with the ability.

Ya know what you should be doing using a good Pokemon for PVP? Just use this moveset and give your opponent a BAD TIME, MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!
Item: Leftovers - Heal over Time
-Minimize - BECOME IMMUNE, MUAHAHAHAHA
-Calm Mind - Power up yo STAB move!
-Stored Power - STAB and after 4-5 Calm Minds you'll be sweeping' !
-Cosmic Power - Just incase your opponent is using moves garentied to hit, they still get a BAD TIME, MUAHAHAHA

Movesets are supposed to include Natures, EVs, and IVs.
Wow. Guys, we have an Undertale fan here. Evacuate immediately! Also, Minimize is banned in Showdown.
Not in VGC18 though Butterscotch Sylveon, but yes it's banned on showdown
^ Alright, Alright, I'll accept that.

My Clefable:

Ability = Cute Charm
Role = Sweeper
Nature = Sassy
E.Vs = 252 HP, 128 Sp De, 134 Sp At
Moveset:

Minimize - So nothing can hit you.

Stored Power - To blast the hell out of them when you've statted up

Metronome - Duh!

PS plz comment if I can improve!!

Aromatherapy: beneficial for the whole party.
Bounce: covers the fighting type weakness.
Metronome: because SUSPENSE.
Moonlight: recovery of health. / Sing: opponent doesn't move for a while.

You're also supposed to include EVs, IVs, nature, ability, etc. in answers to moveset questions.
Clefable is resistant to Fighting.

Here's what mine knows:

AG's Weakness (Clefable) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 92 HP / 180 Def / 160 SpA / 68 SpD / 8 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stored Power / Moonblast
- Cosmic Power
- Moonlight
- Minimize

It's really good since Use Minimize first then cosmic power then use Stored power for over 300 dmg (Maxed Boosted stats).
Watch out for Haze and use moonlight if you need to.
This is for VGC18

This is my trolly but smart set:
Focus Sash,Timid(+Speed,-Attack, which you won't need attack for this)
Def-252 SpD-252 HP-4 or 6
Minimize (It's really good)
Cosmic Power (Just to boost up Def and SpD even more)
Moonlight (To heal,duh)
Stored Power (If you have enough Cosmic Powers and Minimizes, this should 1 shot everything)

Has no one done this yet? Wow, okay, here goes nothing...

Clefable @ Red Card/Leftovers
Trait: Magic Guard
Bold/Calm Nature (-Atk for both natures. +Def for bold, +SpDef for calm)
EVs: 252 HP, 152 Def, 104 Sp. Def (for bold nature) / 252 HP, 240 Def, 16 Sp. Def (for calm nature)
IVs: 0 Atk (Pro tip, use 0 attack ivs on Pokemon that lack physical moves! Reduces damage taken from hitting yourself in confusion/getting hit by the move Foul Play!)

  • Cosmic Power
  • Soft Boiled
  • Charge Beam
  • Stored Power

Oh boy, where do I even start? I suppose I should explain the natures and EVs. For this set, you want as much bulk as possible, so I chose max hp, since you can increase your def and sp. def with cosmic power. From there, pick Bold/Calm nature, the selected EVs balance out the def and sp. def equally at a max of 242, unboosted by cosmic power, that is. The def and sp. def EVs are very flexible, though, if you find the EVs don't work for you, you may change them to your preference. Now, It's time for the fun to really begin. As I've mentioned before, Cosmic Power will increase your Defense and Special Defense. Within a few turns, you'll be eating attacks like candy. Red Card forces a switch-out upon taking the first direct hit, which helps you set up if the opponent has a poison/steel move, or is also setting up to break through your defenses. From there, Soft Boiled provides recovery, which you can use whenever you feel you may need it, Leftovers is also an option if you feel soft boiled alone isn't enough, to replace Red Card. You can also replace Soft Boiled with Moonlight, if you're in a situation where soft boiled isn't an option, or a very hard to get option, at the cost of less PP. So let us imagine now you have all the defenses you need up and your hp is plentiful. From there, you can spam Charge beam. It has a 70% chance to raise your special attack, which just makes it and stored power even stronger. Speaking of Stored Power, this is the best part. After raising your def, sp. def and sp. atk quite a bit, Stored power should have around 200-400 power, depending on how high you chose to raise your stats, and provides poison type coverage. Slap this crazy high power next to a boosted sp. atk stat, and you'll slice through everything that's not dark type like a hot knife to butter, even those that resist it take heavy damage from it. Speaking of dark types, that's of course, where charge beam comes in to help. It may have low power, but it makes up for it with your sp. atk stat, which probably is just going to get even higher if you have to use it. It basically provides stored power support + Coverage support. And choosing charge beam and Stored Power over moves like say, toxic, just absolutely trolls taunt users. And speaking of toxic, Magic Guard kills off any hope your opponent might have of taking you down through status conditions, and much more. All in all, you're left with a near unstoppable Pokemon against unprepared teams, and this is only ONE Pokemon on your team, in which you could fill with anything, including checks to Clefable's counters. How's that for OP?

Tank Clefable set
Clefable @Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 Def, 252 SpD, 4 HP
IVs: 0 Atk
-Cosmic Power: to boost your already good defenses
-Minimize/Calm Mind: don’t use Calm Mind unless you can’t boost evasion with the evasion clauses
-Stored Power: works well with stat boosts
-your choice of coverage: in case there’s dark types. Clefable has a huge movepool and almost any damaging attack could work here, but I suggest Flamethrower/Fire Blast because Fire has the highest coverage paired with Psychic. Source

You’re bound to make someone rage quit with this one. Alternatively, you could put on Protect or Toxic if you really want to.
