Adamant Nature
- Leaf Blade
- Facade
- Leech Life
- Poison Jab

Leaf Blade is STAB. Leech Life and Poison Jab are coverage, plus Leech Life heals Fomantis. Facade is so you aren't completely crippled by a burn, and Fomantis has a limited physical movepool.

EVs: 76 Def / 196 SpA / 236 SpD
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Leaf Storm
- Weather Ball
- Aromatherapy
- Defog

Fomantis' special movepool is sadly limited, so it can't get the best use out of Contrary. Nevertheless, Leaf Storm is the primary move to be used, to boost Special Attack. Weather Ball is pretty much the only other non-Grass option it gets, and can cover a couple of Fomantis' weaknesses if used in specific weathers. Aromatherapy clears away status from teammates that could otherwise be crippling, like burns and sleep. Defog clears hazards, and Fomantis has a very restricted movepool.
