I was just scrolling through pikalytics, and seeing how much the meta had changed. Next, I tested out a team, and I saw a huge amount of kyogre play. How should I counter it? Please list regular counters, and a counter using the team that has been linked below :) EDIT: For reference, I got all of the teams that I use from the second link, so only use 'mons from that team. Sorry for being troublesome :).

That's Tornogre, not kyogre. You can lead kyogre with many different things. How is this a dupe?
It's not a dupe. Answer maybe similar but it's not a dupe.
That should not be flagged.
Plus I'm asking for an analysis of EVERY team in that question that I linked, which the other question didn't consider. I don't know how this could be considered a dupe.
The most common and viable Kyogre core is TornOgre, also specified in that link you told. Why it's not enough to know about the most common core, and I'm sure giving a team to be fixed is for RMT.
It isn't asking to be fixed. I am asking for counters in the already built team. That isn't a RMT thing. Plus, even though it might be the "most common" I've seen many other leads.
By the way, why are you asking so many questions about VGC here and not in Smogon?
Why can't I? If other people don't use smogon, why can't they just read questions here? I feel like the people on this site are more than ready to answer this. Plus, I'm not allowed to make an account.
I don't want to argue anymore but Smogon has much more better players than here. This site may have more people to answer but the quality isn't that good. If you wanna ask then sure go on but it has much more better answers
O.o o.O
Not complete truth that is. You can wait for proof. I'll tell you if you'd like to know.
I just mean to say that they're good but we're aren't far behind. We shouldn't lower our self esteem thinking that. You too reached R6 in some smogon AG tour. (I'm not sure which round) isn't that a achievement. Can everyone reach that? Nope
That's pointless :/ R6 was reached by reading Smogon articles at exam time lol
I just use iron defense ferro. Most teams dont have dual weather or another fire type besides incin, but even than the rain and being at +4 makes it do very little. Its not perfect though. There was recently a sun and rain teams than won something (I forgot the specifics) so that team/variants of that team have been popping up a bit, so that kind stops it. You can also try palkia TR. Palkia has a ×4 resist and isnt weak to ice beam or thunder.
Than again im bad at vgc in general so :P

My favorite way of dealing with this right now is Grimmsnarl's Prankster Light Screen + something to threaten Ogre, but there are of course plenty of other ways. Rillaboom's Grassy Glide is gonna hurt, most offensive Electric-types can Dynamax to take the hit and revenge kill Ogre back, and in general, the duo is a little weak to Fake Out due to Kyogre being choiced, just respect the Kyogre's option to Dynamax if you choose that route.
Dialga is gaining traction right now as being a restricted that, for the most part, can shrug off anything Kyogre can do to it.
Assault vest or Weakness Policy are my personal favorites. Assault Vest truly solidifies Dialga as a Kyogre counter, however the loss of Trick Room/Protect as options may not be worth as Dialga already handles Kyogre well enough without AV.
I personally lean towards Weakness Policy because it can offset any snarl drops or if Dialga gets Max Quaked. It is a bit awkward you can't have Telepathy and self proc weakness policy, but it's not entirely necessary.

For AV Dialga, you can run something like this:
Dialga @ Assault Vest
Ability: Telepathy
Level: 50
EVs: 220 HP / 4 Def / 196 SpA / 12 SpD / 76 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Flash Cannon
- Earth Power
- Body Press

  • Take a note that they answered this question in general, so they recommended Dialga, one of the restricted legendary to use.
  • In case about rating that sun team, it's already solid enough to deal with Kyogre. G-Max Venusaur destroys Kyogre, especially with Groudon meaning the team has no difficulty.
  • Take a note about what to lead against Kyogre teams—your best bet is to lead with Tapu Fini and Venusaur. Then, switch-in Tapu Fini to Groudon because it's most likely the opponent will Dynamax their Kyogre and use Max Lightning. Bringing in Groudon cancels out their weather, and your own Drought team will get the advantage.
  • 252 SpA Venusaur-Gmax G-Max Vine Lash vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Dynamax Kyogre: 152-180 (43.1 - 51.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Vine Lash damage

That's all, hope this helps!
