I know that names are normally combinations of words, but are there any that are literally a word, or extremely close to one word, like word-o, or something like that.

seel is a word, not the seal we know though.
Dreepy takes a d instead of a c
Slowpoke is more of a phrase
Ekans/abrok is the word backwards

those are the ones off the top of my head
Is a name not a word?
A name of a person in real life would count, yes. Random pokemon names, no.
I think it goes without saying that a lot are extremely close to just a word, like Seel and Gurdurr. "Bay leaf" is a real thing that exists too.

But ditto is literally a word.
Do you count other languages as well? If so, then maybe "Ditto" should count, because if you remove a "T" from "Ditto", it will become "dito", and in Tagalog, it translates into "here".
English names, so English words. If a Japanese name matches a Japanese word, put it in the answer. However, I don't expect you to put those, but you can if you want.
Do Pokemon like Caterpie count? It's not exactly like word-o but it only really uses a single word.
As long as it's just one word, not a combination of more than one, so yes, Caterpie would count.
How about Pokemon names that sound like words but their spelling isn't? Like Drowzee, Weezing, Koffing and many more?
Sure, if you can handle all that.
Electrode and Ditto are the only things I can think of that are literally actual words (same spelling).
There are some Pokemon like Shiftry (shifty + tree) and Swellow (swell + swallow) whose name is comprised of 2 words but it sounds a lot like an existing word, with a small differnece. Should I include those too? Should I also include mons like Gengar (doppelganger) and Hypno (hypnosis)?
Don't include the first one. And no again, because hypno isn't an actual word, it has to be the full word. Thanks Ignis.
Ekans and Arbok are Snake and Kobra (which is close to cobra)
The OP wanted all of them.
This does not add anything at all to my answer.
