I realize it's necroposting but it's neccesary!

Anyway Pawniard got huge buffs in the Steel nerf, the Knock Off buff, and the Defog buff. Add this to the fact it has useful resists and can check huge threats like Fletchling and Misdreavus, and you've got a top-tier poke!
Pawniard @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Defiant
Level: 5
EVs: 196 Spd / 236 Atk / 76 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Brick Break
- Iron Head
- Psycho Cut / Sucker Punch

great check to missy, and great Pokemon in general. scares off defoggers, checks fletch, etc.

"anyway pawniard got huge buffs in the steel nerf"

:I
because it's part dark it doesn't lose resists, and knock off is not as easy to absorb
swagpard much better imo

Pawniard is absolutely amazing in LC. It resists powerful Pokemon in the tier like Gale Wings Fletchling (but watch for the Overheat) and Gastly. Using Defog is a drawback instead of a benefit when used against Pawniard, it essentially gets a free Swords Dance from it.

PWNiard
Pawniard @ Berry Juice
Jolly Nature
EVs: 156 Atk / 36 Def / 116 SpD / 196 Spe
-Knock Off
-Sucker Punch
-Iron Head
-Brick Break

Knock Off is great STAB and gets rid of an opposing item, Sucker Punch is nice priority, and Iron Head sometimes hits a little harder than Knock Off on Pokemon who have already lost their items. Brick Break hits other Pawniard and Scraggy hard.
Eviolite can be used if you prefer bulk over recovery.
Watch out for Snubbull, as even though it's Fairy-type it often packs Close Combat or Fire Fang. Status hurts Pawniard a lot, so try to get rid of status users before bringing in Pawniard.

Pawniard is a great Pokemon for LC, because it has access to a great, wide movepool, as well as having many resistances, and also being great for so many different things. Here's the set I use:

Pawniard @ Focus Sash
Ability: Defiant
Level: 5
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 156 Atk / 76 Def / 76 SpD / 196 Spe
Jolly Nature
IVs: 0 SpA
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Brick Break
- Stealth Rocks

The EVs and Focus Sash let is live a hit to set Stealth Rocks up, great in LC. Knock off is your best friend in competitive, and Iron head is for strong Steel STAB, nice flinch chance too, should you outspeed. Brick Break is for coverage against Ice, Normal, Rock, and other Steel types, and can break Light Screen and Reflect, although they're not always used.

Hope this set helps!
