If you have a good competitive moveset for Typhlosion, post an answer below and upvote the best ones. Movesets for any of its pre-evolutions can also be shared on this thread.

Be sure to include full set details in your post, e.g. items, abilties, natures and EVs. Some detail, including the intended game mode for your set, is also appreciated. Access the full list of guidelines here.

Typhlosion Pokédex and learnset for reference.

I prefer a physical typhlosion... here is my move set for it!

ev's:your choice ( I recommend attack and speed)

Item:choice scarf.

Ability : lets just do Blaze

Moves: Any fire type move ( I use eruption.), Wild charge, Earthquake, Shadow claw

Fire move: ITS A FRIKIN FIRE TYPE AND IT COVERS 3 TYPES!!! and if shadow claw and earthquake dont work on lucario burn that a-h to ashes.

Earthquake: For Pokemon like steelix or aggron they are really annoying..

Wild Charge: Covers water and I guess it covers flying too.

Shadow claw: killing psychic types and a fighting type (lucario)

Take a Look at my typhlosion:
[email protected] vest

Trait: Flash Fire

Nature: mild (doesn't makes sense for typhlosion but Pokemon already has no sense, stay on the same line)

4hp, 155 atk, 252 spa, 97 spe

Moves:
Aerial Ace (coverage, doesn't looks great but i've tried using it and it is not bad) or thunder punch (covers water weakness, if you want a bit more power) but I would go with aerial ace
Lava Plume (since it doesn't have sheer force I think it is better than flamethrower, same as how sludge bomb is better than sludge wave) or flamethrower (if you want the power) but I think lava plume is better
Inferno (this is more personally, I like to play Pokemon with a bit of luck, but if you don't, go with eruption)
Focus Blast (120 base power special move and covers rock types, really worth the accuracy. it is also a bit personally, it is my favorite Pokemon move by a long shot, but if you don't think the same of me, go with focus punch ((which I find horrible, but...)) ).

SO:

Aerial Ace/Thunder Punch
Lava Plume/Flamethrower
Inferno/Eruption
Focus Blast/ Focus Punch

've put the moves I recommend in first (last list)

Hope I Helped! Good Game!

Aerial ace, as far as I can tell, has NO COVERAGE AT ALL for Tysplosion. Inferno may have very, very high power but its accuracy SUCKS. Focus Punch has an almost 0% chance of working because LITERALLY EVERY TURN THE OPPONENT ATTACKS!!!!! It is realy onky good behind a sub. Lava plume? Im speechless. And those EV's. You just put them in at randomor in good stats at random. -1

Two moveset ideas for anyone to use, one more conventional and the other not so much.

Typhlosion With Assault Vest
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 Sp. Attack, 200 Speed, 58 Defence
Modest Nature (+Sp. Attack, -Attack)
- Sunny Day
- Solar Beam
- Extrasensory
- Burn Out/Flamethrower
I chose Burn Out because I find it a good move for a pure fire type. After it’s used, Typhlosion doesn’t become normal type, instead effectively not having a type. This can really throw an opponent off. Of course, if you don’t like this idea, feel free to use Flamethrower or something else.

Typhlosion With Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 Sp. Attack, 200 HP, 58 Speed
Timid Nature (+Speed, -Attack)
- Eruption
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Hidden Power (Grass)
This can really throw an opponent off, as Typhlosion doesn’t often use Rest. But a combination of Rest and holding Leftovers means that Eruption will usually have high power. Hidden Power is for coverage of Typhlosion’s weaknesses, though could be swapped out if needed.
