Swampert (M) @ Rindo Berry
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Counter
- Mirror Coat
- Earthquake
- Waterfall
Nooo nooo noooo, first off avalance covers some obvious weakness he has but not to grass types unless someone switches in, its at a -4 priority, ive built a 3k rank team on pbb using him, use power up punch, earthquake, waterfall and avalanche, if u cam switch in on a weakened opponent or someone switches in a lucario, power up to plus 2 or 3 and sweep thier whole team with stab waterfall, i use a speedy nature, max on attack, and 100 evs in defense, a good rule i use is to switch out on special attackers unless ur in rain with fast swim from mega evolution, to many satk pokemon can use energy ball or grass knot so be cautious and smart, also have a lead pokemon like greninja to make them commit to fighting a water type, with one of their counters out of the way u have a good chance for a walk in and sweep, make sure u have pokemon that can cover the weakness he does have, like a grass type or a fire tupe to switch in on, bulky fairy types seem to work well too
i know i'm awnsering 1 year later but you knew that game? i LOVED it

Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Avalanche
- Earthquake
- Curse

This is my opinion.

answered by
No offense A Geeky Jawa but, you do know that if you have Avalanche, you have a move with -4 priority leaving 'Pert vulnerable to Grass types the turn you use it?
Yeah back then I had this problem where I always added coverage even if it would be useless. I still remember battles where I lost to that.
Also no offense taken, especially since this was like, my first moveset on the site, I don't think I knew what I was doing with this moveset :P
Okay. This is acceptable, I used to suck at movesets too. (Cough Cough, my first Battle Subway post ever. Cough Cough)

Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Facade
- Earthquake
- Hammer Arm

answered by
Its a good moveset
Gaba's right except for bulky pelliper resists waterfall and hammer arm and is immune to e-quake . Plus , Swampert's only weakness ; the grass type can easily sweep you due to you not having coverage

Hey guys this is my 1st guide so I hope you guys LIKE it :P

WarNinG (Swampert)(M)@Leftovers
Trait:Torrent
EVs:252HP/252Atk/4SDef
Adamant Nature
-Earthquake~~(STAB MAN!)
-Ice Cream Ball~~(Coverage, and it is painful due to the POWER-UP-PUNCH!)
-Super-Power-Up-Punch~~(Good to INCREASE Swampert's Atk and become muscular fish.....lol)
-Ninja Art! Substitute!~~(To block the status like burn, and is a combo with Ice Ball + Power-Up-Punch!)

Well my swampert is basically will switch in when against wall or something that not hurt swampert badly...such as Blissey or Fire Punch. Then I will use substitute first for some defend ...after that I will see what pkmn that enemy switch out. If it is not harm to swampert, I will use MUSCLE-BUILD-PUNCH and raise my Atk 1 stage, in the opposite side, I will switch or damage it with earthquake. Then, I will see my substitute has break or not, if not just earthquake it to death, or I will use substitute again. Due to swampert's atk, you may have chance to OHKO it with the Powered Earthquake, if it is not, just use ice ball :D This will work when they will fainted with 30 base damage Ice Ball, then the Ice Ball will become a Super Sweeping Ball! So this is my guide, you can comment this if you want :)

I'm surprised this one isn't on yet!
enter image description here
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: (252 Hp/156 Sp.def/152 Def)/(200Hp/100 Atk/104 Def/104 Sp.def)
Nature: (Brave/Adamant)/(Impish/Relaxed)/(Careful/Sassy)
-Toxic
-Protect
-Waterfall
-Substitute/Power-up-punch
Alright. Lemme explain. Evs are to take hits and Swampert has nice defences. Nature is up to you. Sp.def, Def, or Atk?
Toxic to stall.
Protect to stall even more and for leftovers recovery.
Waterfall so you won't be completely shut down by Taunt.
Power-up-punch for a bit more offence or sub to stall even more.
The ones in italics go together.
I hope this set brings victory to many! :D

This was inspired by a mudkip I got on wonder trade. This is at is tested in Pokemon showdown, and he is the end of the world if used right. And you don't have to use use politoad, but you can use my empolean set! He is a support emopolean so look at it in his Moveset question. Now, here is the set. Mega swampert
Item= swamperts mega stone.
All perfect IVs except spatk
Evs=252 SPD, 252 ATK, 4 HP
Nature= Jolly
Ability= Damp/Swift Swim
Moveset= Waterfall (for stab and killer coverage.)
Earthquake(must I say why?)
Ice punch(for giving grass types frostbite.)
Brick break( for breaking bricks.)
And just to note, if use can't use my empolean set (which is recommended), you can use anyone who has drizzle. Hope you like it:)

I have a feeling you're new here , and I can state reasons why I think that:
1.EmpoleOn
2.Swampertite is the name of the mega stone
3.You don't need iv's

Here's two Gen III sets I made for a bulky sweeper Swampert:

Gen III.
Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 74 Def / 108 SpAtk / 74 SpDef
Quiet Nature (+SpAtk, -Spe)
- Surf/Ice Beam
- Earthquake
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

The EVs equal out Atk and SpAtk and maximize HP and defenses for walling. Basic ResTalk set.

Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Iron Tail/Brick Break
- Earthquake
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Used if you want to stick to attack. Bulky sweeper EVs.

This is a physical sweeper set for mega Swampert, so...yeah go ham.

Swampert @ Swampertite
Ability: Damp
EVs: 76 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 176 Spe
Adamant Nature
IVs: 0 SpA
-Rain Dance
-Waterfall
-Earthquake
-Ice Punch

This set aims to take advantage of mega Swampert's high Attack, Water type, and Swift Swim ability to sweep. Going down the list, Damp is the best ability for Swampert pre-mega evolution because it should be mega evolving its first turn, and so won't get a chance to use torrent, so you might as well use damp to stop the explosions that you'll never encounter. 252 Attack EVs with adamant nature to hit as hard as possible, 176 speed to outspeed jolly nature Mega Aerodactyl, which is the fastest thing in the Underused tier, in the rain. 4 special defense so its defense is lower than its special defense to screw over porygon2's with download, not that you'll ever see that, and dumped the rest into HP for bulk. 0 Special Attack IVs in case someone has a special attacker with Power Swap. Again, you'll probably never see that, but it can't hurt. Rain Dance to trigger Swift Swim and boost Waterfall's power by 1.5x, making it an effective sweeper, Earthquake for additional STAB, Ice Punch for Flying and Grass coverage. Hope this set works for you!

My favourite Pokémon. Swampert is a very useful UU tank that can hold his weight in OU as a (strangely) effective Protean Greninja counter.

Swampert @ Swampertite
Ability: Damp
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Moves:
-Waterfall/Aqua Tail
-Earthquake
-Ice Punch
-Rain Dance

Swampert is UU's best Physical Water Tank. Great 100/90/90 defenses and a great Attack stat gives Swampert one weakness: his Speed. At base 60, and base 70 after Mega Evolving, he is easily outspeeded by many other Pokémon. But, when Mega Evolved, his ability becomes Swift Swim, which doubles his Speed in rain, making him a defensive sweeper that easily holds his weight in OU. Waterfall is recommended with a power of 140 after rain and STAB and Aqua Tail comes in with a power of 180 under the same conditions, forfeiting some accuracy for this. Earthquake has a power of 150 with STAB and is Earthquake, so yeah. Ice Punch takes Flying, Dragon, Ground and most importantly, Grass-types down. Rain Dance is for M-Swampert's Ability-Swift Swim.

Hope this helps!

This is my idea of a good Swampert set:

Swampert @Swampertite
Ability:Torrent-->Swift swim
Nature:Adamant ( this is my Swampert's actual nature )
EV's:252 atk. 252 spd. 4 hp

  • Waterfall
  • Earthquake
  • Ice Punch
  • Rain dance

So mega evolve as soon as possible , then use rain dance. Your Swampert's speed will be doubled plus the EV's gets you started. Your priority stab move is earthquake and boosted from rain dance waterfall for more stab , to hit those flying types and levitate Pokemon . There is also a 20% chance that waterfall will make the other Pokemon flinch ( except if the ability is inner focus ) and ice punch is coverage to Swampert's only weakness , and has a 10% chance of freezing the other Pokemon . Swampert's base defenses are 100/110/110 and your Swampert-by now should be able to outspeed most Pokemon with base speed of 95 and below and there are not a lot of major threats to Swampert that are in UU ( Swampert's tier ) which is probably the tier you're gonna be using him/her ( my friend's Swampert's a girl ) and with Swampert's high atk. stat you should be able to defeat some threats , but I do admit that this set does not work for sp. defensive Pokemon since this has all physical moves so as team-mates for Swampert I suggest Kingdra since it also is good in the rain , since it lacks a reliable source of recovery ( aside from rest ) umbreon can pass a wish onto Swampert when it's health is low , forretress' rapid spin can clear out entry hazards so you won't need umbreon's wish every now and then when your health is low due to the effects of entry hazards ( toxic spikes=poison , stealth rock=damage , etc. ) . These Pokemon should be able to prolong Swampert as it battles.( There you go, one very long answer that's probably hard to do/follow )
-Hope I helped...

Here is what I use, and since I'm Karshtomp, I aint using Swampert! I use Marshtomp!

Lil Me (Marshtomp) @ Eviolite
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 88 HP/ 24 Att/ 252 Def/ 144 Spdef/
Careful Nature (+Spdef, -SpAtt)
-Toxic
-Protect
-Waterfall
-Earthquake**

Mudball (Swampert) @ Swampertite
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 124 HP / 212 Atk / 172 Def
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Tail
- Earthquake
- Rain Dance
- Ice Punch / Stealth Rock

This set works well with fling types- use Rain Dance to outspeed those quick flying types because of Swift Swim then use Stealth Rock to damage them well or use super-effective ice punch. (also can counter grass and deal much damage to Dragon types!) Aqua Tail will be powered up from Rain and Earthquake is there for... you know.

Swampert is my favorite water type starter because it is also ground type. It only has one weakness, hard to beat. I try to take advantage of its high attack stat thus only giving it physical moves. I'm not TOO worried about Swampert's lower speed since I can take advantage of Avalanche doubling the attack if damage was already taken in the same turn.

Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
Jolly Nature (+Speed, -Sp. Atk)
- Waterfall (STAB, complements high attack)
- Earthquake (STAB, complements high attack)
- Avalanche (Complements high attack and lower speed) / Ice Punch
- Stone Edge / Stealth Rock

For Swampert I would run:

Swampert @ Rindo Berry/Leftovers/Swampertite
Ability: Damp
Adamant Nature (+Atk/-SpAtk)
EVs: 252 Hp/128 Def/128 Sp.Def
- Waterfall / Aqua Tail (STAB, I prefer Waterfall for the 100 base Accuracy)
- Earthquake (STAB, Great overall move with the 100 in both power and accuracy)
- Counter
- Mirror Coat

NOTE: If using Mega Swampert then use a good rain dance team to take advantage of its Swift Swim!

Physical Attacking Swampert (M) @ Swampertite
Ability: Torrent
Nature: Adamant (+ ATK - SP. ATK)
EVs : 252 ATK/ 252 HP/ 4 DEF

- Rain Dance (Increases speed when mega evolved; Increases attack power of water type moves)
- Ice Punch (Great Coverage w/ Grass types)/Hammer Arm (Great Power)/ Power-Up Punch (Increases attack)
- Earthquake (STAB, Great power overall)
- Waterfall (STAB; Increased power with Rain)

Mega Swampert @ Swampertite

Nature: Jolly (+Spd, -SAtk)
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4HP

  • Waterfall
  • Power-Up Punch/Rain Dance
  • Earthquake
  • Ice Punch

Waterfall and Earthquake are both STAB, and Ice Punch is for coverage against Grass-types. If you don't have another team member to set up rain, use Rain Dance, otherwise go for Power-Up Punch for coverage and for boosting Mega Swampert's Attack.

Swampert @Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
Evs: 252Atk 252Spe 4SpDef
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
Waterfall (STAB)
Earthquake (STAB)
Ice Punch (Grass types? Gone)
Stealth Rock (Entry hazard)

Or you could replace Stealth Rock with Stone Edge to create the unkillable EdgeQuale combo!

Gen 6-7
Swampert (M) @ Swampertite
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 263 HP / 249 Atk / 7 Spd
Nature: Brave/Adamant
Moves:
-Hammer Arm - Base power of 100 and Ice type coverage.
-Hydro Cannon - Base power of 150.
-Earthquake - Base power of 100.
-Avalanche - Base power of 60 and Grass type coverage.

Personally, I like a bit of power. But, then again, you have to think about coverage and super effectiveness. Hydro Cannon is good for an OP Fire type like a level 95 Charizard. Avalanche is a good coverage for a level 46 Simisage. Earthquake is good for a level 63 Garbodor. Last but not least, Hammer Arm for an Ice type like a level 84 Beartic.
