I personally liked the node being right next to my name, as I could easily edit it from any screen.
I would just like an explanation for this.

I assume this is a glitch in the coding since Pokemaster wouldn't just get rid of something so convenient.

It makes it a bit simpler. There is one less link in the box, and it's the same link for your profile, whether you are editing or viewing it.

It also makes it a bit more consistent for mods because the various user buttons (ban, edit) are at the bottom of their profiles, whereas for their own profile the edit button is not there.

If you have a long profile I can see it's a pain to have to scroll right down there, so I'll look at adding the buttons to the top instead.

Thanks for the explanation PM! I see how this will help mods, since they are so used to scrolling down to the bottom of flamers and the likes and banning them.

As for moving the buttons to the top, I see this as a great idea. Right under the Gravatar and above the "Bio" section would be amazing. A move of the Ban, Edit, etc. buttons to the same spot would, in my mind, make things a lot more convenient for mods and, well, everyone. You don't have to listen to this but it's just an idea.
I'll never get used to that lack of button next to My  Updates...
