If not, they probably should. If someone asked a rule-breaking question and later decided to fix the question, then they could more easily tell the editor or moderator to re-open it.

We don’t, and it would be a nice feature to have (though a low priority). However, through a combination of the following, going without doesn’t present a huge issue:

  • Others can flag the question to bring it to our attention, and (almost) anyone can link it through our walls if it appears we don’t notice.
  • We’re still users of the site, and will notice continued activity on closed threads: especially ones we personally made decisions for.
  • Irrespective, we keep track of closed threads if they’re the type we’ll eventually remove. Good chance we’ll come across any updates.
  • If we’ve left a comment on the question beforehand, we’ll be notified anyway.
