Some of you may be wondering what I like about Gladion. Well, I'll tell you everything I like about him. Brace yourself.
First of all are his eyes. They're such a lovely shade of green, especially in the anime. And not only that, but they have a rather rare shape among Pokemon characters. Usually they're oval-shaped, but Gladion's are more narrow and sharp, almost as if he's glaring at you.
Then there's his hair. Blond is definitely a hair color I like. It's rather funny to me how it falls down over one of his eyes and partially sticks up. It seems kinda wild, and as a person with wild hair, I can relate.
I also like his outfit. Black is a nice contrast color to the fact that the rest of his family wears white, and it pairs well with red. I like the fact that he wears a hoodie over a shirt. I can definitely relate to that.
His personality is also appealing to me. He seems rather quiet and calm, but he does have a temper. You can see he's angry just by looking at his face. He cares about his family, you can tell. In fact, in USUM, he's training to get stronger so he can protect them. He seems noble in a way. He doesn't seem like a fan of messing around, definitely far from jolly. He's serious, rather contrasting my personality, which is one reason I'm so drawn to him.
Most of his Pokemon are pretty awesome too. Silvally is an interesting Pokemon with a cool backstory. Zoroark fits him quite well with its color scheme. Lucario is a pretty cool Pokemon as well. Crobat is cool, though I'm not a huge fan. Weavile looks a lot like him to me, and Sneasel even more. Porygon-Z is a fascinating Pokemon to me. I also love Porygon. Both Midday and Midnight Lycanroc are pretty awesome Pokemon. And then there's Umbreon, one of my favorite Eeveelutions and a Pokemon I like in general. He also gets the Kanto starters, which I find meh, but it's still kinda cool that he got them while in Kanto.
Also, I love his voice, which I've heard in the anime. It fits him perfectly, in my opinion, and there's something about the usually calm, quiet tone that I just adore.
There's also his backstory and all that, but I'm being lazy and this took a while to write. So yeah. There's my reasons.
