PokéBase Meta Pokémon Rate My Team

Take a look at these... (It's not for Smogon, it's for Black.)

Mewtwo @Choice Specs

Nature: Modest (-Atk +Sp.atk)
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 Sp.atk, 252 Spd, 4 HP

Aura Sphere
Shadow Ball

Kyogre @Water Gem

Nature: Adamant (-Sp.atk +Atk. I really wish it had Timid or something like that, but I can't change it.)
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: Same as Mewtwo

Ice Beam
Water Spout

Credit to Ninja (see here)

Arceus @Iron Plate

Nature: Docile (-Def +Def)
Trait: Multitype
EVs: 252 Def, 252 Sp.def, 4 Sp.atk

Cosmic Power
Earth Power

It's a team that I'm planning to use for competitive gameplay in time for Christmas. I might add some more later.

Mewtwo seems great(or just standard. Choice Specs is really hurting Mewtwo's viability though. Mewtwo has the 2nd highest SAtk stat, so it is enough to run a different item. I would suggest Life Orb or Leftovers for Mewtwo, as they both allow for the switching of Moves. Since you have a Kyogre in the Team, a Moveset change is necessary to take abuse to the Rain. I'd suggest this:

Mewtwo @ Life Orb
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Psystrike
- Thunder
- Ice Beam
- Recover/Aura Sphere

As you see, I took an offensive approch here but considered the Life Orb recoil. It is your choice to run Revover over Aura Sphere, but it's your choice.

I like this Kyogre, I really do. But if you're not running a Choice Scarf, adding Speed EVs on it is a waste. Kyogre are usually Scarfed, but some have seen the potential of running Choice Specs on it instead. The sheer force of Drizzle+STAB+Choice Specs boosted Water Spout is just too good to pass up. Almost no Uber Poke can tank that with ease. Here is what is suggested:

Kyogre @Choice Specs
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Water Spout
- Thunder
- Surf/Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam

I realize that you cannot switch the natures of your Pokes, but it's what's recommended. We kept the same Moveset, but changed the statistics to make Kyogre way more threatening than it was.

I like how you tried to abuse the Rain by adding a Steel Type. But Synergy wise, this Team will be walled(if Mewtwo is down) by Chansey/Blissey. For Synergy purposes, I suggest adding a Physical Pokemon that can abuse the Rain, while synergizing well with your Team. The only Pokemon that comes to mind is Ferrothorn. Ferrothorn tanks Grass, Electric, Ghost and Dark Moves for your Team, will the rest of the Team takes Fighting and Fire Moves for it. Not to mention Ferrothorn will help against Shedinja(which can sweep your Team with ease). Here is what is recommended:

Ferrothorn (F) @Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 84 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave

This Ferrothorn variant helps check threats such as the Blobs, Shedinja etc while setting Hazards to help in Sweeping, and Paralyzing opponents to help the other Pokes to outspeed. Truely a great addition to this Team.
