Wesley is right, it will not change back to the Normal type automatically. However, if it got an ability that did change its type then yes it would change type.
For example, if you skill-swapped the Normalize ability then all your moves would become Normal.
Multitype can't be skill-swapped, but if it could then I'm sure you would change type to the held Plate.
