What is a good moveset for Musharna?

Special tank is the way to go here Ev 252 S.attack and 252hp 4def. Nature: modest

Like this pokemon it may be slow but it has the bulk to make up for it. for calm mind set evs in def are more important that S.def becuase it has calm mind

Set inspired by my friend who got an Adamant Munna and couldn't live with it

Musharna (M) @ Lum Berry / Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Curse
- Gyro Ball
- Zen Headbutt
- Rock Slide

This thing is hilarious.

When you start using Curse with Musharna, you're actually building up some really nice bulk.
I normally have an Aqua ring / Ingrain passer supporting it. Or I use someone with Leech Seed any switch in. ( better recovery, or a nice switch out )

so anyway. Curse boosts your physical capabilities ( +1 you're already over 300 ) and then you have Zen Headbutt as STAB, Gyro Ball is super powered coverage, and Rock Slide for the good type coverage there.

I like physical Musharna.

Nature: Quiet. Item: Leftovers/Life Orb. EVs: 252 HP, 252 Sp.Atk, 4 Def. Ability: Synchronize.

Trick Room: This is one slow pokemon.

Psychic/Psyshock: Obvious STAB.

Shadow Ball: Helps when the psychic type move doesn't really work out.

Hidden Power Fighting/Energy Ball: Hidden Power Fighting helps out psychic as well, Energy Ball gives some different coverage.

Musharna has a good amount of hp and special defense and special attack. Musharna also has some good opportunities.

Moveset 1:
Ability: Telepathy
Substitute: makes good use of that high hp
Hypnosis: For Dream Eater
Dream Eater: lots of power, heals you, has STAB, and makes up for substitute
Baton Pass: Once you have used substitute, then made your opponent fall asleep, and then healed yourself through dream eater, then you can pass on your substitute to someone else on your team who might need it more than Musharna did.

Moveset 2
Ability: Sychronize
Physic: good move, STAB
Hypnosis: makes your opponent fall asleep
Dream Eater: STAB, high power
Nightmare: it gets rid of 25 percent of your opponents health every turn. That is alot. Musharna is one of the few if not only that has nightmare combined with hypnosis and gets stab from Dream Eater. Also, nightmare is just a cool move.

This thing is Hypno. I can't believe that so little thought went into the design of this guy.

Ability: Forewarn

EVs: HP, Sp Attack, Sp Def Nature: Calm

Hypnosis: For Dream Eater.

Dream Eater: Good move that I would feel guilty not having on this Pokemon.

Telepathy: Allows Hypnosis to hit more often, which is good. However, I do wish it could learn Gravity.

Shadow Ball: To deal with Ghost types.

I think you are Underating this pokemon it has great stats and a nice movepool

Mine is sort of like the others, but still.

Synchronize (Ability): It is so cool, it passes some status problems onto the foe. Convenient to have and might save you when you least expect it.

Yawn: I kept yawn instead of Hypnosis. It is more reliable (100% accuracy) even though it takes a turn to take effect. Good when used after a pokemon that knows block, mean look, or something that keeps the foe from switching out.

Dream Eater: Sleep Move+Dream eater=AWESOMENESS. Not only do you deal massive damage, but you regain HP, get STAB, and it is 100% accurate. It is even more powerful than Psychic.

Psychic: All around cool move, especially for Musharna with high Sp. Attack and all. I know dream eater is more powerful, but this powerful move gets those pokemon with the ability Vital Spirit that can't fall asleep. Its helpful whenever you cant get the foe to fall asleep. (Here are some situations: Uproar, ability early bird, foe keeps switching out and you can't get him to fall asleep). Plus, STAB.

Future Sight: They actually CHANGED the power of this move from 80 to 100. So it's an awesome move! STAB. It also can save you if the foe sort of forgets you used the move, and it sneaks up on them later on. It's good in the long run. It even hits if the opponent switched out, and it has 100% accuracy.

So, if you put all these moves together, you get a wonderful technique. Use yawn, then Future sight, then Dream Eater. If all of THAT doesn't faint him, just use Psychic. If you run into something that is Dark or Ghost type, just use yawn and then switch out.

Item: Leftovers/Shell Bell (constant replenishment or more replenishment with attack)
Nature: Bold (Added Defense making a few hits non lethal)
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 Def, 252 Sp. Atk, 6 HP

Hypnosis (For temporarily neutralizing your opponent)
Calm Mind (Raises already high Special Attack, and raises Special Defense for staying power)
Stored Power (With each stat increase, the power of this attack raises by 20, so with the use of calm mind a max power of 260 can be achieved. Plus STAB, and add in your maxed special attack, and you've got one hell of a move.

I love musharna, I always used to use gothitelle more but I'm using this one even more now!

So, nature I recommend is Timid- lowers attack and ups speed, which musharna lacks in, and munarna is not a physical Pokemon.

Move set-
Dream Eater - great power, stab!
Psychic - similar to dream eater but more for just quickly taking out your opponent!
Nightmare - chips away targets HP.
Hypnosis - needed for nightmare and dream eater.

How about this one. I use this as my own set in doubles, but it would also work in singles with Synchronize. It works very well:

Shadow Ball
Dazzling Gleam

Calm mind makes this guy a wall. 2 Calm minds = 4 stat changes which makes Stored Power 100 power (# of stat changes * 20 +20 = power) and its STAB. the rest is coverage. Shadow Ball for Physics/Ghosts and Dazzling Gleam for Dark types.

Ev's: Don't care, just don't put anything into attack because that's just dumb

I've always wanted to try a set with stored power because its actually a pretty good move. Calm mind will power it up by a lot. Charge Beam is for coverage and also has a good chance to up sp attack (yasss). Signal Beam is g8 for those stupid dark types.
