Hey Pokemon Gurus, in Pokemon Gold or Silver( not HG/SS) I heard that there is The Golden Gyarados at the Cerulean Gym in Kanto? Is that true?

No it is just a rumor I checked and it was probably based on the fact that shiny magikarp is gold. You can get a shiny gyrados in HG SS on the lake of rage.
