How often do you get a shiny pokemon?

It's a 1/8192 chance. The red Gyrados is the only guaranteed shiny. It sucks that you killed off that Geodude, being a shiny pokemon, it's really rare. :(

Well next time you see something shiny, throw a Quick Ball first! Than let it blow up if it wishes...
