I have Pokemon Heart Gold, and I am at the point where I have just beaten Goldenrod city's Gym Leader, and I'm about to go and make that Sudowoodo leave. I was wondering if my team was ok at this point:

Your Quilava knows many fire type-moves.
also he don't have any stat move.
i think his moves should be:
fire blast/ember/flamethrower-STAB (not flame wheel because it is a physical attack),
sunny day-to boost STAB moves,
toxic/will'o'wisp-for easier battes
hidden power/return-for pokemons which resist to fire type moves.

Your fearow is good but a stat move won't be bad...

your geodude in 4 levels evolves and he will learn good moves like earthquake etc. but a defense curl(temporary) would be good.

paras is ok...

sandshrew really needs training because at this level he doesn't learn very good moves...

also you need an hm pokemon so you don't need to learn hm to a good pokemon. (you can forget them at blackthorn city but it's far away from you)...

What about flamethrower for quilava?

Flamethrower is a good move but it can't be found as TM easily... if you can find it is good to learn it because it has higher accuracy than fire blast and hit more than ember.

Paras is level 18 (Still needs a lot of training!)
Mareep has evolved. It's level 26.
Quilava is probably one of my best ones with Geodude, but I think he needs a Stat move as well. And, uh.... When do I get Will-o-wisp?
Geodude just wants to evolve!
Fearow is fine, just fine... (Did anyone recognise it was the Spearow that had the message?)
And I know, I really need to get some more Stat moves, the only reason was because I used to hate them in Pokemon Gold/Silver. They annoyed me because they took up space!
And I thought Quilava learned Flamethrower by level?
Also, what's a good HM pokemon??? I need a water pokemon, because I have no pokemon who can learn Surf for now.

Quilava learns flamethrower lv.42... at lv. 42 he'll be a typhlosion! A good hm pokemon is a water pokemon who can learn not only water hm's (surf, waterfall, whirlpool) but also moves like strenght / rock smash... me in my soulsilver I used a gyarados.
