Eon Ticket Through Friends?

Question

I was wondering if it is possible to obtain the eon ticket if you exchange friend codes with another oras trainer over wifi and they have the ticket? Thanks :)

No, it's not possible to get the Eon Ticket that way in ORAS. But you can still get it through street pass, which will activate whenever you put your 3DS in sleep mode. If you pass by someone else with the Eon Ticket, and you have street pass activated, (and I think you have to be connected to the internet too) you will get it as well. Check the buzz nav notifications and go to any Pokémon center to see if the delivery girl is standing by the desk to recieve the ticket from them.

I have been getting the mailbox on the buzznav when I connect my 3DS to the internet at my house.  Can I also get the eon ticket by doing this or do I have to connect to a nintendo zone or actually pass somebody?
