Well, congratulations, YOU'RE RIGHT, Gyarados is a Water/Flying types even though many dragon elite four people have them. Even though he's not a dragon type, he still rocks!

He is water/flying, which helps against dragon and ground types, but not against thunder types.

Gyrados is a Water-Flying dual-type. It can still learn Dragon-type moves, though.

Despite in everyway looking like a Dragon, it isn't! It is Water and Flying, but can only learn 1 flying move! Bounce by the move tutor! Magikarp can even learn it! It should be Water and Dragon with Levitate!

Gyarados is Water-Flying, but is in the ''Dragon'' egg group, so it can breed with most dragons.
