Gardivoir is better for Special attack and Gallade is better for attack. They both have Great Special defense. Gardivoir is a psychic type and Gallade is a Psychic/Fighting type.

It all depend on your training ability and style. Galade has very good attack power where as gardevpir has great special attack power. Galade can still learn some good psychic moves as a ralts/kirlia, but since gardevoir has better special attack power and most psychic moves are special, his psychic moves are usually more powerful. I advice you try them both out and find your favorite of just have one of each;)

Psycho cut in my opinion makes Gallade a great choice since not many psychic pokemon have good regular def.
