I left my togepi with my ditto in the day-care for a while and when I checked it, no egg. Than i went around Unova twice and still no egg. So do I have to evolve my togepi or I can't get an egg at all?

No, you will not get an egg from Togepi since it is a Baby pokemon. you need to evolve it first, then place it in the day-care.

Ok thanks a lot thats what my brother told me but i just wanted to make sure. I'm almost there the game says it's pretty friendly with me (I checked with the lady in the pokemon fan club).

you must evolve it. baby pokemon can not have eggs. it is in the undiscovered egg group which can not breed to make eggs
