Is Rotom a legendary, and how does it transform?

I'm super curious and i wanted to know if Rotom is a real legendary? I got an egg from it so i'm guessing it's not. And how does it transform? Does it depend on the weather, or if it's hit by a specific type move? I'm clueless here

No Rotom is NOT a legendary. Not a legendary because it can breed. In some part of the game(different in each game, duh) you can change its form. In SS/HG its the Sliph Co. In each game you must have rotom in your party and talk to a machine. In SS/HG the machines are in Sliph Co.

Manaphy can't breed Manaphy, only Phione.
