Gallade learnset

Gallade has an extra-ordinary attack stat and its speed stat is relatively impressive... so I suggest going all-out attack on the opponent with it... my preferable move-set would be :
1. Night slash (the gost type is done for)
2. Psycho cut
3. Leaf blade
4. Ice punch
if with this move set... gallade is given a "quick claw" or "Scope leance" to hold.. well that would be a nightmare for the opponent !!!
This set of attack would also allow it be an effective attacking option against Dragon, water, ground, rock etc types.

Gallade @ NeverMeltIce/Magnet

Trait: Justified

Nature: Adamant (-Sp. Atk., +Atk.)

-Swords Dance (The best attack booster Gallade has)

-Thunder/Ice Punch (Depends on the type combination you want on the Flying type)

-Night Slash (I'd go with Night Slash instead for Shadow Sneak because of the power)

-Drain Punch/Psycho Cut (Drain Punch to drain the health, or Psycho Cut for Critical Hit)

*Note: If you want a priority move that KO's Ghost types, go with Shadow Sneak, but if you want more power, go with Night Slash.

basically gallade is a physical sweeper.
therefore try using the following moveset

gallade (M)@razor claw
trait:hasty nature
item:razor claw/life orb
moveset :
phycho cut(coverage against flying types)
leaf blade(good grass type physical trump card )
night slash(critical hit+coverage against phychic type)
close combat/drain punch/brick break(dp is a attacking hp stealer,bb is a decent fighting type move and close combat for 'ko'ing the opponent)

for the items I would prefer razor claw
since gallade has got I pretty decent speed and an awesome attack
my moveset was all about pulverizing the opponent

so have fun

Well I use this moveset on my Gallade for versatility.

Nature: Naive
Item: Kasib Berry (Cover the Ghost type weakness, especially when hit with a Shadow Claw from a Mega-Banette)

Close Combat (Obviously)
Psycho Cut (High critical hit chance)
Shadow Sneak (To cover it's speed and to hit against Ghost types, plus adds defense against Paralysis.)
Will-O-Wisp (To lower the opponent's attack power and to take out Shedinjas holding Focus Sashes)

Mega Gallade

Ability: Justified/Steadfast>Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Att, 252 Spe, 4HP
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
Item: Galladeite

Swords Dance boosts it's attack by two stages, making it a terrifying physical sweeper.
Close Combat is for sheer power at the cost of lowering your defences. Drain Punch is an alternative STAB which recovers health but isn't as strong.
Knock Off provides almost perfect coverage and is a great move to hit Ghost and Psychic types as well as removing items.
Psycho Cut or Zen Headbutt can be used for a second STAB option, providing a strong hit on Fighting and Poison types.

As an extra option, Ice Punch can be used over one of the Psychic STAB options to cover Dragon, Flying, Ground and Grass types. Justified is useful before mega evolving as it allows you to have your attack raised. Likewise steadfast is also useful in raising your speed if flinched, but outside of Fake Out it's very situational.

I think this is good for a really high power sweeper.

Double-Edge: high amounts of damage. Almost no resistance.

Drain Punch: Makes up for Double Edges recoil. Plus it's a STAB.

Swords Dance: for obvious reasons

Earthquake: For those pesky Ghosts

Nature: adamant
EV:
Attack: 252
HP: 252
Sp. Defense: 4

Item: Leftovers, Life Orb, Fist Plate. All of them work great

Ground type moves are'nt super effective against Ghost types you know.

Standard Mega Gallade
Jolly
252 ATK,252 SPD,4HP
- Sword Dance
- Dark type
- fighting type
- ice type

it's the standard because azumarill is the only Pokemon your
not very effective against.

Some Mega Gallade useful unique goodies.

  • Disable (for the inevitable sucker punch)
  • Destiny bond (just kill everything)
  • memento (pre set up for a sweeper)
  • will-o-wisp/ Hypnosis/ T-wave/ Toxic
  • safeguard/misty terrain

Mega Gallade Requires more team coordination to be successful because his class is more like Team Support and a Sweeper

An example of sweep and support would be: "quick note. most good players only run a single stab on anything except for the highest stab-coverage Pokemon like mamoswine or talionflam"
because being predictable is the absolute worst thing you can do.

scenario:Gallade's on a roll then a Dragon/fighting/bug/dark type.
switch's in after opponents death and you are predicted to lose Gallade after Gallade's 1 turn.
Gallade's not set with the needed coverage. Use misty terrain no status for 5 turns sounds good Gallade then die's. Starmie enters
camouflage's on a dragon/fighting/bug/dark Attack takes low damage and strikes back as a cool new fairy and Dazzling gleam regains hp.

Fairy type is usually much more favourable then water/psychic and the type change was totally effective and unpredictable

Misty Mega gallade:

-stab
-Misty terrain
-coverage
-coverage

Misty starmie

-Dazzilng gleam
-Camouflage
-stab
-coverage/ Power gem(bug types) / recover

Gallade@Razor Claw
Ability: Steadfast
Nature: Adamant(+Atk, -Sp. Atk.)
Role: Anti- Fake Out Lead (AKA M. Kangaskhan XD )
Moves:

Psycho Cut(I just feel like it was made for Gallade...)
Swords Dance(Nice Atk. boost)
Protect(Anti- Fake Out!)
Close Combat(Great for any Gallade, and especially this one!!)

Basically, if you opponent sends in a Kangaskhan, you use Protect, then after it used Fake Out, use Close Combat and damage it lots!(Which is this set's main idea...)
